So after figuring out I wanted to main DK in Shadowlands, now came the tough decision… what race?!
So I already had a 120 Panda (H), Troll, and Dwarf before starting this endeavor thanks to the anniversary event, but none of those did it for me. I like my Panda, but lots of sets look deformed on them due to the way belts scale with their bellies. I like the Troll too, but he’s on dead server and rather than paying to transfer him, I decided to invest tons on hours into re-leveling other DKs… Plus I wanted to play on Alliance primarily. The dwarf was OK and I’ve always fancied him, but wanted something new…
Something new… I got it!! Allied races!
Fast forward to leveling a Void Elf to 120. Wow so cool! Wait, what are thooooooose?! Freaking clog stompers on every set. My god do boots scale to XXXXXXXXXL on them. Also the weapons are massive… Chalk this one up to a sunk cost.
What about a Diaper Baby!! Surely there’s enough skirt/dress mogs to make them tolerable, and the racials seem cool. I was wrong, as someone who likes to change my mog frequently, there were NOT enough dress/skirt options. Diaper Baby to the trash!
But I liked the aesthetics, so I figured what the heck, let’s just roll regular gnome and 7 DKs later here we are
You’re probably wondering how that all adds up to 7… Concurrent with leveling all the Ally DKs, I finished up my Hoofer DK for when I want to play with Horde friends.
Also got a Zandy and Vulpera to 110 for the heritage sets.
Now if only Army of the Dead summoned all of our DK alts to fight alongside us! Muahaha
i race changed my dk and finally settled on one recently too. so i can vibe with OP.
i went from f.undead, i love the flips they make in combat. but mog left a lot to be desired. she did look good in some mishmash combos though. robes helped a lot.
race changed to f.orc. AMAZING MOGS!! everything looked PERFECT. great posture/form/dual wield etc. only downside is the one and only hood dk’s have (starter set) her nose would poke out of it and looked like rudolph the red nose reindeer. i was pissed. and this was before the barbershop had cosmetic surgery so there was nothing i could do but sulk.
only later did i realize certain faces had smaller noses (by like a fraction of a millimeter) but there’s no way to test easily before plastic surgery barbershop so i race changed to male tauren.
DID NOT VIBE AT ALL. i loved the hugeness of it and imposing stature etc but…hooves…UGH.
last week, i just had to change again. unplayable to me if i can’t feel right. switched to female nightborne. oh man. i am right as rain now. and no nose poking out of the hood. a little scrawny but i don’t mind it. feels much better now. i don’t think i’ll change her ever again. i spent enough on her already.
if i didn’t already have an orc in plate, i’d go back to female orc dk now that i can pick the correct faces from barbershop that don’t have the nose poke out of the hood. (hood is best mog FYI) but i don’t like repeating race/armor class if i can help it.
little boy. i’ve been raiding since BC. believe me when i tell you it’s not the main point of the game. unlike you, all my kills were when content was relevant and not going back to those instances when i’m 50 levels over level.
i personally decided to take a break on BFA and did nothing endgame. come back when you got over 13 years of hard core raiding. then we’ll see who has the prettiest dresses and sexiest mogs in all the land.
im ashamed to say this whole time i never bothered to look at your char. OMG absofreakinglutely love it!! my DK main (not the one i paid 75 bucks to get race change 3 times) but my max lvl dk is also a gnome!
GNOMES ARE THE BEST! ugh i forgot to hide her helmet so you can’t see how adorable she is. i’ll fix that later but this is her.

I wanted to roll a diaper baby (the racials are great), but my god, the plate mogs are absolute trash.
They’re only really able to work as cloth, as you can hide most of the legs.
