6/22/23 Holy Changes PTR

PALADIN

  • Holy
    • New Talent: Merciful Auras – Your auras restore health to 3 injured allies within 20 yards every 2 seconds. While Aura Mastery is active, heals all allies within 40 yards and healing is increased by 100%.

    • Awestruck increases the critical healing of Holy Shock, Holy Light, and Flash of Light by 20% (was 15%).

    • Seal of the Crusader healing increased by 30%.

    • Daybreak now triggers Glimmer of Light’s healing at 200% value (was 150%).

    • Holy Shock now costs 2.4% of base mana (was 2.6%).

    • Flash of Light’s healing is increased by 35% (was 25%).

    • Holy Light’s healing increased by 25% (was 15%).

    • Blessings of Seasons now shares a choice node with Merciful Auras.

    • Tyr’s Deliverance’s base duration has been increased to 20 seconds (was 10 seconds).

    • The duration of Tyr’s Deliverance’s healing increase effect has increased to 12 seconds (was 10 seconds).

    • Boundless Salvation can now extend Tyr’s Deliverance by up to 40 seconds (was 50 seconds).

      • Developers’ note: Tyr’s Deliverance’s base duration did not feel competitive with other singular talent points within the final section of the tree. We are increasing its duration and reducing the effectiveness of Boundless Salvation accordingly with the goal of each talent point spent standing on its own merits while leaving a similar overall power level.
    • Holy Prism now radiates healing or damage to targets within 30 yards (was 15 yards).

    • Hammer of Wrath now costs 1% of base mana.

    • Glimmer of Light healing increased by 400% (was 450%).

    • The Starter Build has been updated.

Testing out, this stuff is insane. If they keep it like this we will be the best healers hands down. Which im not complaining about but expect the FoTM for a while.

Merciful Auras is SUPER UNDERWHELMING
1.8k Healing every 2sec, 4k when AM is up. Super weak needs a HUGE buff but I love the Idea! Makes us the aura class we are more fun. When we are stunned and preAM we can keep people up. Needs to be like 50k ticks or soemthing.
OVERALL GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD Buffs

:sunny::fallen_leaf::snowflake::blossom: BLESSING OF SEASONS is DEAD :sunny::fallen_leaf::snowflake::blossom:

For completely passive healing that sounds about par with other talents.

Not dead?? Just has something else to choose instead. Adds more playstyle beucase RN Holy Pally is HEAVY with managing buffs and button bloat is crazy so this makes it a little easier instead of cycling through Blesssings

Also 1.8k healing for a last node talent seems bad. Should be like first 3 rows tbh. get rid of of Tiriions Devotion and replace it with this GG

x3, with its second effect being up to x20-30. I suspect the latter is the bulk of the power: in a 5-man M+, Seasons may still be better.

Obviously tuning is still happening but anything to avoid running Seasons is a winner.

Merciful Auras passively does about the same per-target healing (a little less actually) than the Golden Path talent for Consecration. I’m not complaining too much, Golden Path is actually pretty decent for what it is. Like Consecration, your aura costs no mana, so that’s free healing.

Golden Path, however, can heal up to 5 allies at once, whereas Merciful Auras can only heal 3 allies at once. In Merciful Auras’ favor, however, is that it costs zero GCDs (as opposed to 1 GCD every 12 seconds) and there’s less concern about positioning, since you don’t have to plop it down somewhere safe for people to stand in. In your average M+ run, you’re not getting all five party members to stand in Consecration for any amount of time anyway. So at the end of the day, even though Golden Path CAN heal up to 5 targets, unless you’re stacking in raid it’s not going to happen. All in all, I think it’s a completely worthwhile passive bonus to healing for one talent point, especially since, really, the big selling point is the buff it gives to Aura Mastery.

On my paladin on PTR, it causes Aura Mastery to heal my raid for just shy of 15,000 health apiece. It’s not huge, it’s definitely less total healing than most other big cooldowns (divine hymn, Tranquility, etc), but it’s got some major benefits. First, it’s not its own cooldown, it’s a buff to the one we already have. 15k health isn’t huge, but when it’s ticking while your whole raid is taking 15% less damage during a heavy damage phase, that adds up to a LOT of mitigation. Secondly, unlike some of the other big raid cooldowns (again, Hymn, Tranquility) we don’t have to sit there channeling it. Damage is coming out, we just pop Aura Mastery to prevent 15% of incoming damage and give the entire raid a nice little heal buff on top, while ALSO being able to keep up our regular casting/priority healing.

I feel like it turns Devo/Aura Mastery into the single best raid healing cooldown in the game.

I’m surprised you guys even have a talent to spare to put into blessing/MA node.

I’m gonna test glimmer build first with DR and absorbs and cant find myself to get an extra point to ge there, nor i think if even worth it having now daybreak for mana regen, but ofc I havent tested it and could be totally wrong about if its worth or not

I like playing around with 8-Glimmer build and will surely do it a lot in raid when the rework goes live, but I do believe that 1-Glimmer and 3-Glimmer will also work, and if you pick one of those two styles, you can save three entire tier3 talent points at the end of the tree (daybreak/rising sunlight/glorious dawn). This opens up a ton of options for fun alternate builds.

I have lots of talent to spare. There is even change to that. And positions change and I got 1 more point left to use.

Im going for a 1 Glimmer build for either offensive purpose or deffensive one. I could spam some 200k dmg every 1min from Glimmer

Absolutely, I’m really excited thinking about 1-glimmer options and playstyles. Retains a good percentage of the power 8-glimmers offer, but focused for higher effect and waaaay less thought involved so you can focus on other things.

The 16% DR on the tank doesn’t sound too bad either (for those of us with a more tank oriented perspective). That plus the new Aug Evoker buff is going to make some pretty big swings in what tank players can survive.

Like this build seems quite fun (potentially), full on melee with a holy shock focus macro on the tank.

Pair up with a Bear that does alot of group healing and this could be quite potent.

This is what I’ll try first. M+ build.
Bit more casting involved.
Y’all not taking Daybreak are nuts. Rising sunlight is gonna go pretty hard.

Might actually see how tyrs deliverance goes. If it’s not worth I’ll probably swap it for veneration and something else.

If someone tries the Blessed Focus build with only one Glimmer target, that kinda ruins the Daybreak/Rising Sunlight interaction though.

Only for the mana return, really.

Daybreak/Rising Sunlight becomes a far more useable version of Holy Avenger. Tremendous burst healing.

Its does but it doesnt at the same time sinse you can do 1M healing in the space of 1 sec.

200% Glimmer for the use then you use Divine toll.
Cause of Daybreak your next 3 cast of holy shock proc twice which mean 8 proc instead.
Can be strong but you have to sacrifice the mana issue for PvE for PvP with Dvine Plea you gain 24k mana even if you have 1 or 8 glimmer out.

Even for an offensive play every min doing around 100k-200k dmg is good if not more
