Started leveling a Maghar after getting them unlocked… the 20-60 experience was smooth and nice (surprisingly). I was excited to go to Northrend or Outland to level even further. After a dozen quests in either zone I realized how much slower it got. First of all I was getting less exp per quest (15k) in outland and Northrend than I was in Winterspring (20+k). These quests took about 3 times as long as the Winterspring/20-60 zone quests. For example, winterspring kill 8 monsters and in Northrend I needed to loot 15 flank steaks from rams and the drop chance was not 100%.
Another thing was the delivery quests. 20-60 the delivery quests actually gave a decent amount of exp (probably 65-75% of a regular quest). Whereas in Northrend/Hellfire these quests gave anywhere from 5-15% of regular quest exp.
Lastly, it is really only the 60-80 (excluding Kara farming 72-80) bracket that is actually excruciating to level through right now. Guides show that the other levels outside of the bracket take far less than the 60-80 bracket. It would probably take the same amount of time to level 60-80 without Karazhan grinding than it would to level all the rest.
I really hope this bracket gets some sort of adjustment because I really don’t have any more drive to keep leveling in the bracket after making it half way through. Also, I will be unlocking Zandalari soon and I don’t want to be discouraged to level one because of one leveling bracket.

double gather if you can. It helps taking in the rock and the flowers at the same time.
then just suffer it. Eventually you hit MoP which I like. I got 5 levels there on an 85 nightborne and didn’t even feel like it was that long too it.
Also unless you want to see it just stay northrend. Outland to me doesn’t level as nice as northrend does. I have a lightforged paladin there at about 65. Seemed a good RP thing to do and she has the bonus to demons. Not going as well as I’d thought it would. My nightborne went northrend. Wasn’t as bad really.

I do a few quests in Hellfire Peninsula while queuing for bgs and dungeons at the same time. I don’t dislike HFP, but just in general I’m so tired of questing.

About to say I just dungeon crawled my kt all the way to 93. Helps that the wife and I are doing a classic healer/tank combo.

60 to 80 is where most of the complaints since 7.3.5 were aimed at. 0 to 60, and 20 to 60 were not really that bad imo, even before this last nerf. But ya imo 60 to 80 still sucks. They nailed it from 80 to 90 imo.

Nah…it sets you up for 90-100.
You have to raise people’s hopes high that it finally got better. Makes crushing that hope in 90-100 that much sweeter. Its a mind game they play.
same with legion. Its a small respite until they re-introduce and intensify the pain of leveling in BFA.

It does feel weird that as you go for 60-80 quest start giving ~15k instead of ~20k that 60 zones did…
I like to think it’s something borked with the scaling…

Oh yeah, the moment I hit around 62, the levelling slowed down. I hoped going to Northrend and Outlands would help but only a little bit. What’s keeping me going is the Northrend quest storylines with the Scourge. When that becomes a bit stale, I’ll double back to Outlands.

I feel ya. Deleted a Pally recently, having gotten to Northrend and hearing the tires squeal to a halt!!!

Those potions coupled w/ some heirlooms I have and rest exp seemed to really speed up that bracket. I am almost 70 on my monks and still have about 30% of Hellfire to finish. Only did one blood furnace run too.
It got nerfed awhile back. Right before BFA went live, if not mistaken.
They are 5 tokens a piece.
90-100 may be the easiest level bracket besides 1-5 for leveling. Easily doable in a few hours with some treasure finding and bonus objectives.

I’ve done my Zandalari leveling just few days ago (not fully done, but in BFA now)
20-40 fast because dungeons pop fast even for dps.
40-60 best part, my favorite dungeons
60-80 in WOTLK, got way slower even though i’ve got flying. Dungeon queues became way higher for dps
80-90 i’ve just did Hyjal zone and two dungeons
90-100 i hate it. I hate WoD leveling, because there’s too many cinematics and scenes where i just have to wait and watch stuff i’ve seen 10 times already. Almost 2 hours was waiting for dungeon in meantime. Also forgot about XP potion
100-110 legion is fine. Almost finished mount quest line
110-120 - I hate leveing in BFA more than anything before. Even with flying.
This hasn’t been a thing in 2 years. Are you sure you play the game?
I level by questing while queued for dungeons and bgs.
