The team for Plunderstorm was Proletariat and many others across all of Blizz. That has nothing to do with this toy. It’s intended to not be account wide. Blizz literally said that.

I actually haven’t come across that restriction. But even so, that toon can level up anytime and thereby unlock the toy. Waiting until next Easter is more than a little bit excessive.

True. But these duck colors are tied to a toy. From my testing, toons that haven’t finished the quest can’t even use the toy because there are no color options.
Ehhh its another toy, chuck it onto the useless mountain of toys, mounts and battlepets that Blizzard thinks are good rewards still.

Well there are tons of players hoping and praying that game is still up in 2029 in hopes of finally being able too get a Rooster Mount that year for the Lunar festival…2029 is year of the Rooster…its either that or pay 10 million gold for the TCG card one on the AH…which are far and few anymore now.

I don’t have an issue with this honestly. It’s annoying, but it’s intended to keep us engaged. Which is fine, at least we know instead of throwing ourselves at the grind for them. Besides we’re not going to be using the toy very often anyways
You’re not wrong. That’s why I quoted the customization part of your question and not the toy part.
It’s weird the toy isn’t account wide. But if the assumption of “collected in future events” is “any new event we come up with or old events we add them to,” then it may work out to be not as long as Wowhead said.

Cool. It backfired. I would be happy to collect them over 6 years if they were account-wide once unlocked.
Having to run every alt through the holiday quest in case they MIGHT want to use this someday? No. And never going to complete it on a single character in future years either.

But this is exactly what they just announced and will be default on all loot.
This is brand new, Tooshil. Until a few days ago none of them did. There is nothing that says this has to be tied only to one event.

Exactly. Pepe costumes are a thing. Linked to all sorts of different things.
This is a duck. It’s generic. No reason some random event can’t have a duck color reward.
