6 weeks to get a 639 ring is not ideal

So as of announcement we have roughly 5 resets until the launch of 11.0.7 (Dec 17th). Now with today’s news it will require an additional six week waiting period to max out this ring to a whooping 639 (the current season max ilvl).

Unless this ring will be made to be upgraded in season 2, or run along the range of insanely overpowered, I beg to ask the question; What is the point of this content?

IMO, there is no point, and it is probably something you could simply skip and not be at any major loss or disadvantage.

I’ve seen inconsistent information on whether the ring is intended to last into season 2 or be left in a state that the Onyx Annulet was in DF s2 post-nerf. I agree that 6 weeks is too long, since it puts us into late January by the time it maxes and the roadmap timeline seems to suggest that season 2 may launch mid-February.

Not sure I can find myself doing the same raid for another 3 months. Even with the added anniversary raid in the mix.

i agree, this should not be time-gated for six weeks.

Is this the plunderstorm - PvP type of content?

I just have a bad feeling about this patch.

The Onnx Annulet in Dragonflight was a much higher value relative to its ilvl, so I expect even a non-639 version will still be BIS for a lot of classes.

BlizZard can do a last minute hot fix patch to make the ring either very worthwhile or not at all but it serves no purpose that benefits players based on the timing of this patch.
