Are they going to be doing any pruning? where are we suppose to put all of these things:

If fireward and frostward I like what I recall from Vanilla, they were so weak itâs almost not even worth putting them on your hotkey bar.
In any event, donât hotkey them. They arenât useful enough for that. Just put them on an on-screen button and click with the mouse before combat.
Same for mirror images.
If youâre a frost or arcane mage, Iâd also not bother with Fireblast. Its only purpose for non fire mages is as an instant-cast filler during movement. But for frost, you have ice lance and arcane can barrage or arcane explosion. Itâs not worth a hotkey or even an onscreen button to dedicate to fireblastâs relatively tiny damage output.
Arcane Explosion is probably worth hotkeying for all mages. Itâs useful as a fast-cast AOE with no ramp up, and also for unstealthing rogues in PVP.
Fire mages might want to hotkey Frostbolt for use in pvp as a long-range snare. But itâs not worth the effort for Arcane Mages who already have Slow.

True unless they maybe add in the reflect portion of the ward spells that could be talented in Vanilla. Would be nice.

1-7 qertyfghzxcvb with shift ctrl and alt mods is 80 binds. add f1-6 and you have 24 more.

lmfao, so i will point out that im aware they are likely 2 different crowds complaining about opposite things⌠But for YEARS people complained about pruning⌠now you got 6 things back, alot of them being situational and there are complains about too many binds haha

They pruned before and they added a lot of spells, now there are a lot more. I complained about pruning because I had ample binds and room for more. This time I do not.

@coupe I already have all of those bound. Pressing shift+f keys or ctrl+f keys is not feasible unless you have an 85% keyboard layout. Even if I did bind shift+f1 etc, there are no spaces on my bars to do that, unless I get an addon to somehow always show the secondary actionbar; which I think you canât do anymore? There use to be 6 of them and now there are only 2.
Tell me what binds I have left? I do not even have bar space for 6 spells. I have 2 unbound bar spaces. Iâm already using asd for arena 1, 2,3. There is literally no room for any more spells without investing in a stupid naga, which I absolutely hate and my hands are too big to make use of it.

i got 5 polys, 5 counterspells, 4 mounts, bracers and cloak, net launcher, battlerez and engy belt, and potions n still have 3 bar slots with default ui. I donât click anything and have bars hidden, and im def on the high end of binds but still wont have a problem come SL.

Fire/frost ward isnât going to be worth the GCD unless it gets a massive buff (eg: 50% damage reduction for 5+ seconds).
MI depending on cd length will just be added to your burn macro, and as it is likely weak you wonât miss much by not using it the second it comes off cd.
For PvE, youâre probably not going to bother using the spells from other schools either because they will be weak and take up a GCD.
I didnât. Not on the Mage at least. The spells they removed were useless in 99.99% of situations. I already dislike having to use essences, trinkets and racials (as much as I love Vulpera, I will probably switch back to something with a passive damage gain - also something that can wear shoes).

on the empty keybinds you currently have in PvP ?
Currently, Fire and Arcane are literally a one-button spec for damage, with a couple more keybinds to defenses and CC 
I didnât really complain about pruning but I did say something to effect that they need to make the game harder and not take abilities away over skype or something when I was talking to my friends. Never posted about it. This time its extreme, before they would only do 1 or 2 more binds, this time its 6. Not counting skeletal mage or others
^ This. Giving us back nearly worthless spells that you use once every blue moon or for a gimmick and saying âwoo we fixed classes, come drop another $70â strikes me as highly disingenuous, at least as a mage.

Those spells are not worthless, fireward, frostwardâŚalso fireblast might not be worthless for extra dps when other spells are on cd.
Fire blast hits harder than unbuffed ice lance. Wards are good for a bit over 10% of my hp at 50.

weâre losing some stuff, like cloak and bracers, that iâll just replace.
that and, Iâm at a limit with bar space, not binds. I donât use alt very often cus preference, but it wonât be a problem to make a nomod fireball mod:alt frostbolt macro, etc etc.
and, im at a level of binds way beyond what most people play, especially for how casually i play now. 99% of people wont have 5 versions of multiple spells, and as you can see in this thread, most people wont even bother binding tools they have now because it doesnt fit a pve rotation.
blizz has the tools to bind well over what the default bars support for a reason
Yea, I bind a lot too. I play frost so I do not even use those bracers. Are we losing our neck? The cloak will free up 1 bind. Iâd have to read about macros, Iâm limited by bar space too.
You will gain some binds from Azerite stuff for too
The spell Iâm looking forward to which is coming back is âAltered Timeâ.
