There was minimal BFA testing and that worked out horribly.
Where the heck is the Classic test server?
We don’t want a botched launch.

With holidays right around the corner I wouldn’t expect any news on the subject until next year. I’m hoping to hear something soon though. VERY EXCITED!!!

I don’t work on holidays. Sometimes even take a break prior to said events. I can only supply enough details until you catch my drift :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

A billion dollar company can afford to pay someone to keystroke a few blurbs of news and have it released on the website. Sorry, but the earth does not shut down completely over the holidays. In a world where organizations take the time and expenditure to send out actual christmas cards (advertising) to customers, writing something and posting it on a website is not a monumental effort.

You must think it a christmas miracle for Steam to update game sales blurbs and such during holidays.

“Sorry it’s the holidays” is no excuse for not releasing a few lines of text.

I’d say we’re closer to 8 months than 6.

I’d say they will give us an update in January. A lot of financial decisions are being made for the new year at that time. From there they can get a better idea of what kind of resources they have and get a better idea on time lines.

Or maybe they know the hype is real and they are going to wait until we are about to lose our minds with excitement before saying anything else><

Okay, I get the marketing angle but the annual budget stuff has already been hammered out. Just about every major firm that functions decently had their dept budgets in by Nov and approved by mid Dec.

Also, core systems were broken in the classic demo (IE: energy regen) and there’s a lot of systems we didn’t even get to check. They need to start debugging it now if they want it to be ready by/during the summer.

I agree with that. Especially since there are a lot of vanilla players that can help with the more subtle things that need debugging via beta testing.

The lack there of patience has me wondering if you even require what it takes to play “classic”… what’s waiting another month or two for some news? :thinking: it’ll come when it comes.

Uncertain what you are imagining would happen after they release a statement that would disrupt leaving to spend time with families. They have not been known for following up after making statements, especially on the forums.

Mind you I am not screaming or expecting any kind of announcement. It is simply laughable that “holidays” are an excuse to not do it.

Again, I am just laughing at the “but the holidays” part of it. Blizzard has never needed an excuse to not communicate in the past.

I’d imagine they make those decisions before the new year. That’s assuming they have a jan-dec fiscal year.

You act like being on vacation would stop people from hearing the news. Plus, vacation for me is going to my parents house for the holidays but taking my laptop so I can keep gaming.
