My subscription is cancelled as it goes out into early or middle of 2025, so I won’t get the mount. Absolutely dumb system.

Why would you get a free thing when you canceled your sub?

Makes sense. Also even if you had tokens subbed your account to 2099 there’s no harm of keeping your 12 month sub active since you’re basically never will be charged

You’re not on a subscription anymore so your sub lapses next year. Why do you deserve a free mount when you cancelled it?

If you’re currently on a 6-month or 12-month recurring subscription with a future renewal date, you’ll receive the mount and pet as a gift in your Battle.net desktop app at no additional charge no later than July 23, 2024 (must be redeemed by January 31, 2025).

I was about 90% positive that I cancelled mine but apparently not. Either way, I got mine through the launcher and opened it up in game yesterday evening. It definitely wasn’t the moment it was announced, that’s for sure. To anyone still waiting, give it time.

Explain to me the difference between:

  • Buying the six month or annual subscription then canceling it before the new promotional event but the subscription doesn’t expire until a year after

and

  • Buying the six month or annual subscription after the new promotional event then cancelling it after receiving the rewards.

You cancelled before the next promotion, therefore you don’t get the future promotional free mounts because blizzard knows you cancelled.

You get the rewards because that’s what the new promotion gives you. They got your money.

Because you cancelled before the new mount promotion, you don’t get it because your card is no longer on file.

Free mounts = blizzard knows they got your money

No I’m pretty sure people don’t understand that when you cancel your 6 month sub/year sub they should expect to not get their next free promotion rewards

i was surprised when I tried the mount it was dragon flight style as well.

My subscription says “Renews on February 15th, 2025.” If you cancelled it, you will have to buy a new subscription.
