5k Valor is NOT a lot

This isn’t possible. Even I have 194s from World Quests.

i mean, you actually have to GET the loot you want to upgrade right? thats the tricky part.

I haven’t done world quests in a long time. Why would I? I got a pvp wep. Which is pretty much why the system is so limited. You can get 1400 in a couple hours and 1600 with some effort.

Valor does nothing for me at all. When 9.1 comes outit will help the odd piece but it wll never be a viable pathway to getting geared, unlike pvp.

37 runs to upgrade 3 pieces assuming you get them at 210. This is a trash system like most other systems in SL. Designed to waste your time and not give any reward for effort. The devs are literally breeding a cancerous toxic grind game and the CMs are getting mad at the players for outbursts. Welcome to Actiblizz

Yes it forced them to as they couldn’t figure out how to just increase drop rates.

It was presented as a major change. Clearly it was intended to be a small change for some players, but for most irrelevant.

They put one heck of a lot of work into creating a system that was kind of useless.

It was presented as a way to address targeted items. I’m not saying this is a good system, it’s just not a gearing system. It’s only meant to target certain pieces.

Key stone master

they don’t think the game needs higher droprates. they have to half-butt the illusion of higher droprates.

Valor upgrades are supposed to be targeted to certain slots, especially when you are fairly geared with limited upgrades left.

I upgraded 3 items from 207/210 to 220 and used up about half of the initial 5000 valor cap. That means I can continue to upgrade another 2-3 items this week and more each week as the cap increases by 750.

I’m coming to the conclusion this is just a placebo non system.

Don’t worry, it’s really not meant for the average player anyway. It is something for KSM folks. 95% of the player base will never have a use for this as it is currently constructed.

it’s 3x more than 1500 and it goes up each week

You got it right: 2-6=-4.

It’s a starting point for a system that is going to last you months.

yes you can only get a couple pieces of gear that weren’t already 220 and finish your set. It’s not a full on gearing path. I think they didn’t want to change their loot/gearing system, and added this valor system as a placebo

Could go for a 25% reduction in current costs to upgrade.

It’s also going to be kinda weird next patch because the best strat will probably be to just bank valor for a long time. Are items going to be seasonal? Am I going to upgrade my new blood splattered scale, or am I going to have to get a THIRD BSS to upgrade in season 2?

Well it was never their intent for you to upgrade everything right away. There are still a couple of months left in this season, which will be more than enough time. Plus any serious mythic+ player will also be getting higher ilvl stuff from their vault, which will either be above their ability to upgrade or greater reduce the cost of upgrading it to your cap.

Like anything, if you take it as the only way to gear a fresh toon then obviously it’s difficult. I don’t have ksm yet & had a few pieces at 213 with bad stats. Ran a few 12’s, people were happy to trade any 207 pieces they didn’t need, took only 500 valor each to get a neck and cloak to 213. My haste went from 15% to 23% this week. Doing much better. Belt, shoulders & shoes still to go. So I’m really enjoying the system.

This. And releasing the system during a Tyrannical, Storming, bolstering is just troll AF, too.

I’m a Druid. I have a 220 weapon from the first week of m+ I got from the vault, no such luck since. As disappointing as the system is, I thought I’d at least be able to fill that problematic slot for my balance and guardian specs, but no. Not only is that 45 runs away, but a few more weeks for the cap to grow.

Should have given us a vendor to buy loot for valor and have them be upgraded TO 226 by justice points.
