so you spend TONS of gold building your class
you spend tons of time farming delves
you spend time doing mythics over and over and what does blizzard do
they stunt the class and you get beat by someone almost 7 lvls lower than you in gear
what sensse does this make when hunters and paladins are have 60 plus kills in bgs
what is going on with blizzard
Some people play their class better than others play their class so it can go both ways,also it don’t mean much if the fight was better for that person.
Please chill, they probably weren’t a very good arcane mage. It wasn’t that big of a nerf
7 ilvls is such a small difference.

I actually agree. Our single target is good but damn our aoe is not great. Not to mention without or CDs we do nothing
Our sustain AoE is good, our burst aoe is very good, our ST and 2T Cleave is great, our priority cleave/burst is great, short CDs that line up well mechanics and dungeon pathing, rotation is smooth with very intuitive and easy adjustments from ST to AoE, defensive utility is arguably best in the game (squishy with active mitigation so high skill floor and ceiling).
The spec isnt hard but these arent the days when you could literally keybind Arcane Blast to every button your bars, faceroll your keyboard, and top the meter (yes, there are videos circa WotLK). If you got out DPSed by someone 7 ilvls lower, thats not a class problem.
Mage Aoe is never good.
My Mages AoE is great. Arcane or even fire and I’m a warlock main.

This is a skill issue not a gear issue.
Okay. Let’s all calm down. The only problem I have with arcane right now is it’s balanced around that spymasters trinket. If you don’t have that your dps isn’t topping anything. If you do have that you should be competing at the top with only a couple other specs.

They’ve been the biggest crybabies since classic, second only to hunters, and whenever they come up short they receive significant attention.
