Good enough
Is there a guild for older players yet? If not I would really love seeing one created.
Vent is so hard to set up and get it working properly, or at least it was. At this point I believe that "Discord" is among the easiest voice communication programs available to configure, with the advantage that it allows you to run voice and chat channels simultaneously. This is done by creating a Discord “Server” which acts as a hub for as many channels as you would like to run.
Typically I see them laid out with one text channel which people use to post links, pictures, video snippets of their greatest blunder/feat of amazing technical prowess etcetera, several topic discussion channels and then voice Channels such as Raid one, raid two, raid three etcetera, Battleground one battleground two etcetera.
Another advantage of Discord being that you can set both permanent or temporary invites, which allows you to be rid of individuals without having to actually be rude and kick them. As soon as they leave channel the channel no longer exists for them.
Raythia-
I would like an invite if you still have room.

I sent a friend request to ask over the BNET Launcher however I don’t know how it all works. So if you see my invite…I am not trying to stalk you…yet
Would love a guild invite, been playing since a few months after release. Battletag Whiteriot#1922.
I know, I tell people that all the time when they are surprised. I’ve been playing computers games since Pong came out when I was in high school. I also tell them it makes sense for older people to be gamers since we have the time and money for it.
Just get Discord. SO much easier and better than Vent. Do it now and join Horde Tough, we’ll help you figure it out. Go over to the New Guilds thread and post your bnet account name/number and they will send you an invite on discord.
We are seriously thinking of setting up a sister guild on Myzrael on the Alliance side. Stay tuned!
Yes - Horde Tough on Myzrael. Go over to the New Guilds thread, find us and post there to get an invite.
My favorite thing about this thread is the complete lack of hate and vitriol (except for walking on our lawns) that is so common in other posts.
Turn 56 in two days, been playing WoW since 2006. My first video game was Star Trek on a TRS-80 - you had to program in BASIC just to play. You loaded the code from a cassette player. Those were days.
what if i feel like im 55 or older?
im only a young 42 ill never be as cool as you older people !
woulkd like to know as well. while im not 55, i do love older ladies. no one bakes cookies like a grandma… mmmm…
Kohna says bump!
EDIT :Seems, I can’t spell my own name
I saw my first Pong game in the local pool hall next to the pinball machines. Lol remember Breakout, Space Invaders, and PacMan?
Kinda creepy even without the Grandma reference
A representative of MG here and checking in! XD You do you and nom those cookies for all they’re worth! (Your post made me laugh, i couldnt resist replying lol)
While the thread started for those 55 and up, there was so much interest that it expanded to 40+.
You can go over to the New Guilds thread and post your Battle Tag ID for an invite.
You SAY that but what happens after the cookies are gone?
I will be rolling an Orc Warrior and a hunter of unknown race on the Horde side of Myrael as well.
Phoenix#1135 Please feel free to add me as I will be looking for a guild on both the Alliance and Horde sides of Myzrael.
Well, now I feel young at 66. Been playing since BC came out. Looking forward to Old times. I didn’t play vanilla but it was close .
