52-60 leveling advise

Trying to find an efficient way to get going to 60. Been logging in and looking for BRD groups to no avail and just logging out. Grinding mobs my best bet at this point?

Thanks

Just go quest while you look for group. Plenty of great zones in that level range.

I would recommend firegut ogres in Burning Steppes. Great grind spot, and you’re close to Blackrock Mountain for when you finally get a BRD group.

Why not do quests in one of the many high level zones that Blizzard has provided in order to avoid boring grinding?
Felwood, Winterspring, Un’goro, WPL, EPL, Searing Gorge, Burning Steppes.
You can even go back to some of the level 40ish zones and complete the high level and elite quests that you couldn’t do before. STV, Tanaris, Hinterlands, Azshara.

If grinding is your thing, you do you. I actually like grinding mobs on my warrior when he has full rested exp. It’s relaxing to me. But don’t think that you have to grind mobs to hit 60. There are more than enough quests to do if you’re willing to actually do them. It might mean zone hopping and not doing some until they show up as green in you log, but there are more than enough to get you to 60.

Also, I don’t see how you can’t find any BRD groups. Maybe they don’t want a lvl 52 if they’re trying to be quick, but I always see Arena/Angerforge runs and I see full BRD runs enough times throughout the evening to notice them. Maybe try finding Mara or ST groups until you’re lvl 54-55 ish. Then the BRD groups will be more likely to take you. I mean, at lvl 52, you could get by as a healer but the mobs at the end of the dungeon will be red to you.

Thank you for all the replies my horde friends. I will head to Searing Gorge and start questing while spamming /4 for BRD groups.

Alright ill give you the real advice. First if you are on a pvp server searing gorge is going to be a gankfest. Secondly it depends how fast you want to hit 60, if you have time to wait collect rested XP and level an alt.

I’d recommend you do ALL the quests in ungoro, great leveling zone.

I’m capped out on rested xp. I’ll head to ung’oro. Thank you mate.

I’ve noticed there’s not a lot of gankiness out there anymore on my server. The people out there won’t even notice you unless your a black lotus or a rich thorium vein.

go to ungoro. grab all quest. make one lap of the place. and turn them all in. its pretty easy.

at 52. you can already start your ony attunement. I was fully attuned @ 55.
at 55 get work your MC attunedment.

at 52 you should be in WPL getting your AD rep up.
you need to get on the quest for the GOOD AD trinket.
you need to work on scholo key.

You should be working on starting " Indreams" quest line.

You should have targeted the MARA hit ring. and be running mara untill you get it.

so priority at this point is.

#1 take or start any mara run untill rin.
#2. Start AD rep. now . start in dreams.
#3 start ony attunenment at 53.

the real dead zone is 57-60 after you are already attuned to MC. and ony and BWL. and have your black hands breth. and your good AD trinket. .and your in dreams item. and your mara ring…

that is when you should get bored… not now. 52-58 is the best time in this game.

This, you can do pretty much all the ungoro quests in one lap around the place. Takes about 2-3 hours depending on quest item drops and ganks. Don’t forget to get the liken quest line from the sunken boat, the first 5-6 parts are stupid easy and are basic “go here” quests for the most part.

I actually like grinding mobs. I also like to pick up kill quests in areas with good grinding then stay and grind a while. You save time by avoiding all the travel, IMO (and usually end up with more money).

My highest is only 54, but back in Vanilla I made it slightly less about efficiency and slightly more about doubling the value of the actions I was taking. Questing Un’Goro and loading up on crystals that I exchange. Questing Felwood and getting both Timbermaw rep and complete quests to do the cleansing. Questing WPL with the Argent Dawn insignia and starting that rep.

Similarly, getting all quest chains that lead to Sunken Temple done, or working on any quest chains with important rewards for their class, can make quests do double or triple duty.

I’ve always found dungeons to be horribly inefficient. A guildy was running dungeons from 55-60 and it seemed like it took him 2 weeks to finish. I was grinding elites in Tyr’s hand with a healer and I did 56-60 in about 10 hours.

Questing and running dungeons for pre-BiS once you hit 55.

I’m telling you. Firegut Ogres and running BRD until your eyes bleed. Gotta get your HoJ, gotta get your SGC. Maybe you’ll get lucky and actually see an Ironfoe.

Well, of course, you’re a rogue.
For a warrior, dungeons are very efficient.

I’ve now leveled 3 warriors to 60 in classic, in the 40s on my 4th. A warrior is literally the experience I’m talking about getting 56-60 in a day (with help). I can still pull 40k xp/hr solo just killing mobs, and 40-80 k/hr questing. Dungeons never seem to get anywhere near that.

Its kind of sad it has to come to this to get a group going. I had to do this the other day to finally get a BFD group as a tank. My server pop is high and its still terribly hard to find people just advertising in LFG

best way to level 51-60 is to spec full healing, go into av and just healbot the most geared dps warrior/warlock/mage you can find. its way more fun that spam running dungeons and its not bad exp.
