if you think 220k is okay for an item that you’re going to replace next patch, then go for it.
To me that’s not worth it…you can get a couple mounts on the AH for that much, and they’ll stay relevant for much longer, and actually progress your character in a much more meaningful way imo (like pushing you towards the next meta mount achieve for example)…what does the new legendary do for your character in the long run? and is that worth any amount of gold?
you don’t even need the max lvl legendary to really progress in anything (you can do +20’s in a 235, as evident by multiple mythic+ players)…that’s the only reason I think it’s a waste to re-craft.
and also, anything in the 200k range is a steal…i’ve checked multiple servers and depending on the item (i think cloaks are cheapest atm), they’re like 400k+. I’m not sure how that would feel good to anyone to trade that much gold for a stat stick item (since many of the legendary powers themselves remain static even with the higher ilvl item). I don’t think like the 18-20 mastery or whatever for my power upgrade is worth 400k gold (or any amount of mastery lolol).
I like spending gold on things I personally want…i don’t think i’ve ever dropped more than what I had to drop on my Legendary base item ever…and what sucks is that it was a mandatory purchase…not something I truly wanted. i don’t want to look back on shadowlands and think to myself “oh…i dropped like a million gold on that expansion…and have nothing to show for it”. that would feel soooooooo bad
