Yeah, I hit honor level 611 earlier today and the fact I’ve seen nothing and will never see something again despite my love of both competitive and casual PVP for honor levels makes me sad.

It does seem sort of set they are going to give a ground mount. Which no doubt ground only mounts need all the love they can get, there is just no reason to mount one unless it came out (at the latest) like 2-3 weeks ago.
Also, I think Blizzard doesn’t see the whole picture, for example Netherdrakes from TBC, that was a really big grind and nowdays the timewalking provides a really good bost for any rep related mount from previous expansions, so any new player have a lot of easy mounts to progress…etc
Incentivize new collectors, that’s why I’m a favor of new bad luck mechanics and improvements even when i wasted a lot of time farming those mounts, like Sha that took me almost 8k attempts.
That would be pretty awesome to be honest. It would simplify the giant list of mounts into something much more manageable.
They’re doing that already with the love rocket. MoP world bosses I feel like are the only ones to get the treatment too. I would sort of hope blizz (and this could be disastrous) put in a how many tries have you done toward this mount, just like rarity. And then educate people on probability (not falling for gambler’s fallacy).
Also it would be nice if they had mount progress bars toggles in the ui, counting up people’s currencies to the goal. Basically allowing a first party option to put a “to do list/reminders” on the screen. Also they need a FAR BETTER lockout display for the account. Like right now I would count savedinstances as like a priority addon for me. No doubt people have missed drop chances just cause they don’t have a tool to make a sticky note.
Lastly, blizz needs to add to the native ui that X mount can be bonus rolled. Was so annoying to see people throw out in streams being adamant that like legion/bfa mounts could be bonus rolled.

Personally I use an addon to consolidate the padding in the list and I sort my list by expansion (there are few issues cause some SL mounts have IDs that fall into the bfa range). But the subtype dropdown navigation could work.
Also they need to have an option to show hidden mounts, cause right now there are mounts that are hidden but they are earnable. However others are removed but they are shown in the ui. Very inconsistent.
You know what would be an amazing 500 collecting reward? A jetpack, not a clunky swaying all over the place sputtering typical engineering job, i mean a tight, zippy thing like the one from the 1991 Rocketeer movie, or perhaps like the temp one from Mechagon?
That would be a super easy one to implement because the models are already there and functional within the game, we just need one that works everywhere and has no timer.

The flavor text for the Carrier Yeti makes me think it would make a perfect reward for a new achievement: completing a mythic+ 15 dungeon with a player that has never completed a mythic 15+ dungeon before.
What do you think?
I think it would be a great way to incentivize experienced players to invite some less experienced players into their groups
I think they gave up on the mount equipment. It was only implemented so that they could get rid of water walking on the strider.

The HK one is depressing me because I love random battlegrounds, but between the prestige system having nothing past 500, and the HK one having been completed years ago, it’s just…

good thing the yeti is a place holder…there was about to be a outrage from the mount collector community…not that there won’t be anyway…but whatever.

for mounts that are meta achievements for collections would be nice to have some carriages/chariots that are pulled by random favorited mounts.
such as 1000 mounts meta achievement would be 10 favorited mounts that other players could ride as you’re sitting on a golden chariot pulled by them.

Also and prior to everything … its 500 mounts. All of us who passed that number already KNOWS for fact how important it is , how grindy it is. Need luck , need disciple and how many WoW hours… It HAS TO BE special… specially if you want US to keep farming / buying. Respect your players plz !!! The Yeti was not respect at all. Also think about all previous rewards for mounts… lots of them not even worthy mentioning. Thx for reading. Also I want to finish by saying TY for listening Blizzard* and answering with a kind of quick post. Have to appreciate the effort

For me the best mount was after I got 200 mounts - High Elf Dragonhawk
