We need 600 and 700 mounts achivs too. mostly collector already have past it in SL. with the new ones from DF it could even hit 800

I mean yeah, I’ll get the 500 achievement immediately as well and that’s with absolutely nothing from SL. 500 wasn’t even that difficult to acquire during BfA, although the pool’s definitely gotten larger with SL and now again with whatever DF adds.

Unpopular opinion, they’ve added too many mounts. for super hardcore people like myself. Back in pandaria/WOD I was only missing a few mounts in the entire game. Now it just feels overwhelming at times.

TBH I don’t even mind the model all that much, but why such a dull color? I know they’re changing it now, but why would a color like that ever be thought of for this achievement in the first place? The other mounts from similar achievements are also old models, but with bright & unique colors
Please don’t stop with 500. Many of us are well over 600 on a single toon and some have over 700.

I wonder if anyone at Blizzard ever thought to raise their hand and say, “you know, I don’t think the players would like an ugly yeti as an achievement mount.” Instead, Blizzard gets Wowhead to post this article and then after people complain they go… “yeah you guys are right, it is ugly. We will come up with something else.”

Not exactly new because there were already Armored Protodrakes for Gladiator mounts, but it would be more on theme and be something most people would never have had.

Hopefully it is something actually pretty cool, instead of a recolour/skin of xyz.
Ah well, we’ll see. We’ve been begging for this achievement for years, so that’s something at least.
Hopefully, a lot of the mount previews looked NICE so I am sure they can think of something infinitely better.
500 mounts? This seems like a good spot to put a vendor mount. Like a reskin of the brutosaur.

Well, now that we know that the Yeti is not long for this world, I’m curious what we’ll get.
I really hope it keeps up with the trend of the collection mounts being interesting recolors.
We got a new infernal mount? Lets make it ice-themed.
Blazing chicken mount? Lets make a fel version.
A bunch of different colors of drake mounts? Lets give them a white one, then.
My ideas? A flying, constellation wolf or tiger. A lightforged felbat. I fish mount that has no swim speed bonus, but can fly. Just a few off the top of my head.

Hi Chimes, if possible could it be a flying mount again? The last 2 were grounded. 500 is a big number, I think the reward should reflect that amount of time and commitment. Thanks.

I understand we won’t get to 2,000 unique pets until 2-3 expansions AFTER Dragonflight, but like, y’all must understand how underwhelming this is, right? Especially since a recolor exists as an Island Expedition pet that sells for less than 1k gold:
(On that note, why are you guys adding achievements that aren’t physically possible for probably 6-8 years down the line? Like, I can understand adding the achievement to make it easier in the future, but why add the reward already? Because in 6-8 years, y’alls art team is going to be better than they are now - so it’s going to feel doubly underwhelming to get an old pet for it)
Like, please consider changing the achievements to like:
1200: Crystalline Mini Monster
1400: Secretive Frogduck
1600: Violent Violence
And just leave it there for now. If you want to code in 1800/2000 achievements, please do, but leave the rewards alone until it’s possible lol.
