I mained warlock for 14 years…. I got older and had less time . Had to make a sacrifice . It sucks but it’s life
What? Are you talking about classic?
In current WoW, you can’t even do that going to a city. You run into people on 20 different servers through sharding. Never once have I met the same person twice xD
Joining a guild is WAY better, cause always see the same people and hopefully its a fitting guild for that person
Seriously, my 495 holy priest, and 479 BDK never have a problem doing content.
In my experience running my own keys, it does lol.
yup. and then nobody will join your group because its “too low, mneah”. its annoying as heck.
if 10 ilvl is what you think makes a difference…bless your heart.
wrong, because i waited for two hours earlier waiting for even dps to join…
There is something else going on here, and it’s putting a lot of people back in terms of gear and upgrades. Already seeing people in trade, every 15 minutes or so, getting back from a dungeon and complaining about how it took them half an hour to find a group.
This has never been such a problem ever before ever.
I have done this weeks quest on virtually every class in the game. For some reason, only my hunter and Warrior seem to have trouble. My rogue can get into +2s with 490 gear.
My druid is already pushing past +5s.
There is something else up and I can’t figure it out because, again, I have never had this happen. I do the quest every time it comes up at least 11 times. Its only some characters and it seems to not matter what role.
I even have a 515 tank who is struggling to get into a M0 becaue something is happening.
You don’t even need huge DPS, I ran in with four DPS and a tank this week, there were DPS that were below 500 item level present but it was a Mythic zero on the third week and as expected, it was face roll.
But high ilvl dps being described in OP? For me they don’t usually show up.
oh yeah, let me hop on my paladin and send all the mail hunter gear over here…
Yup one you fall behind might a well quit the game is a esport now not a mmorpg that WoW is long gone and dead…
Why are people trying to argue with my answer
“why don’t people accept me”
“cos ur gear lower than other people applying”
“um no”
Alright.
Not sure if you’re trolling, but it isn’t hard
Literally started gearing my lock yesterday and am 495 running my own 4-7 keys.
You right its more like 15 sec during busy hrs at the start of the season
so then my 515 dk tank?
Got declined 32 times in a row yesterday.
Its not just dps having this problem, and it can’t possibly be ilvl. literally live evidence happening right now, and you can’t see it because you don’t want to lol.
As I said, I do this quest at least 11 times every time it comes up. This is the first week I have ever seen this happen. Add to it the sheer volume of declines? No, its abnormal beyond any acceptable parameters.
And I just sat there waiting for a M0 run and nobody joined for nearly two hours.
Everybody is getting something different, and one side is just straight up automatically discounting everything the other side is saying because they can’t think.
After you finish a run, if the player was solid, friendly, helpful, (positive trait) you simply ask “hey wanna run another?” Or “may I brag you for future runs?” You start doing that and soon you’ll have a digital Rolodex of players you can reach out to.
It does take a little bit of effort to make a connection, but it allows you to play with known quantities. Better than guilds in some instances because just joining a guild doesn’t immediately tell you who you’re going to get to play with.
It’s essentially grass roots community building.
It’s a meme at this point, but back when I was dipping my toes into M+, I’d list my keys as a dumby DPS, and people would backfill.
It’s slow, and I think people mostly want to be chosen as quickly as healers or tanks. That’s never going to happen.
Sorry, this is the DPS life lol, there’s no content in WoW where DPS get into groups quickly. Even PvP is overloaded with DPS starving to find healers and PvP tanks for flag-carrying.
It’s basically the life you choose as a DPS.
It’s like, for every 40 dps, you get 2 healers and 1 tank, it’s that bad. Probably way worse of a ratio than that, tbh.
Of course not, but when there’s a list of 50 dps and there’s no point in vetting the group you just invite the highest ilvl because it’s easy. It’s not like you need to wait for them to join, its a matter of do i invite the 495 or the 510? Doesnt matter guess ill just invite the 510
I tried that. sometimes it works, usually people are not as solid as they appeared on your couple of runs.
I got two people at this point. They are just never on when I am for the past few weeks lol.
normally yes, but on this scale? no. AGain, 11 times every time for the weekly quest and only THIS week, after all the m+ changes, suddenly I have difficulty, but only on like 4 characters?
IT is inconsistant, which tells me its not the ilvl its just people not knowing what they are doing. Seriously, you can do M0 with like 470 ilvl. Declining somebody who is 500 ilvl over somebody who is 510 ilvl doesn’t even make sense. If 10 ilvl is all you needed to finish teh dungeon, you have other problems.
I dunno, I was told to never talk to strangers.
That’s respectable. I’m sorry you’re having difficulty getting into the groove. Another avenue if you use discord is Wow Made Easy. WME: I’ve met great people there and in fact had met a killer ret from last season that helped me and my team time mid-twenties.
