What Blizzard normally does and just hands out free instant Max Lvl’s. (whoever decided that it was a good marketing strat to hand out free boosted characters was a complete moron)
Lol.

Lol.
it only applies for level 1-25. XP rate is not increased like it is in wrath so the buff is greater than joyous journeys. It’s a good catch up mechanism. Stop crying
You say that, yet people keep buying them.
Blizzard thinks they can get away with this stuff because people eat the slop.
If people stopped eating slop, Blizz would improve the menu.
But WoW players LOVE slop. So Blizz is happy to serve it.
!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!!??!?!?!?!
he wasn’t. he said it was a good mechanic. wtf?
No. It is 100% against the spirit of vanilla and will make lower levels horrible to do.
People will out level every zone before doing core quests
Low level dungeons will be mostly empty
It will go from being a fun experience to a long grind that sucks the entire time.
Bot owners will level bots even after when on new accs.
Based and slop pilled. Glad to see people getting it.
Free? Last I checked they were at minimum the full price of a game.
wait… I thought he was saying the person that came up with the xp boost was a moron… Assumed sarcasm bit me this time.
inb4 Microsoft adds a popup asking if ud like a free character boost if you upgrade your OS to Windows 12
Blizzard has never done this at all outside of test servers let alone “normally” done.
You have to buy them or get them included as part of a bundle like when you buy an expansion.
It’s 100% in line with the spirit of “Seasons” though, which is something I don’t think you’re coming to grasp in all these posts of yours.
This is not Vanilla. This isn’t even Classic Era. This is a seasonal instance. It will end. Your characters are meaningless in the long run, and will be deleted (or moved to Classic Era). You will start over.
There is no need to gatekeep people joining the game and enjoying a rapid ascent to catch up with the rest of the playerbase, because if they do, they’ll keep playing. If they don’t they’ll quit, making the environment worse for the rest of us.
A free leveling accelleration is far better than the other option of paid boosts. You need to decide which you prefer, because “Neither” is just a narcisstic need to kick down, and I don’t think you really want to admit you’re “that type of person”.
Well I agree these toons should NEVER be moved to Era, they are not Era toons and Era is not a dumping ground for SoD trash.
You call it gatekeeping, I call it leveling. The game is enjoyable at all parts (leveling, raiding, pvp, etc.) if one isn’t having fun they should quit.
Now instead of having an enjoyable leveling experience it becomes some rushed grind that makes the quests make no sense and doesn’t help new players improve their leveling routes.
I think all leveling boosts are horrible and part of why retail is a bad game.
But I quit SoD weeks ago so I only play the its forums now. I will not subject myself to another phase of making bad decision on vanilla world.
Uh. It is. points at Season of Mastery.
“if they aren’t X they should quit” is LITERALLY GATEKEEPING.
And this is why you are “that type of person”.
Yes it is. It’s the worst version of classic offered right now as it’s non progressive.
This is a solid point.
This ISN’T Vanilla though neither is Classic Era/Vanilla itself.

Leveling feels pretty bad when you level out of Zones before finishing them and you miss the quest that leads to the next zone. Sometimes those quests lead to chain quests that you miss if you didn’t do the prereq.

Faster leveling from 1-25 is whatever tbh.
Just means more Alts.
I’m honestly surprised it wasn’t 75% or 100%. Blizzard seems to want to keep everybody at the same range.
It feels like they’re keeping us at these level ranges so they can collect as much Data as possible with regards to engagement with the things they’re adding.

This is why they introduced progressive zones in Retail, so you could complete a zone and move on to the next at any level. But I don’t think anyone wants that.

No, it’s 20 years of experience watching new players burn out before they get to the “Massively Multiplayer” part of the MMO. It’s a solid design principle, even if their architecture is bolted on after the fact.
And this is why you are “that type of person”.
I quit because I dislike runes, the pvp was horrible, and had too many negative community interactions. Era is great and while SoD was fresh for a minute it isn’t anymore so I don’t care to play it.
Uh. It is. points at Season of Mastery.
SoM toons already were a negative to Era and they were 100x closer to Era toons than SoD toons are.

It is by far the best version and no we don’t need non-era toons.
There are plenty of people that play Era, the community doesn’t need any more members. Having Era as a dumping grow for SoD toons (which are basically retail) is disrespectful to the Era community.

Could be both.
They did say they made changes to P2 based on how we’re playing P1.
Also:
The notion that the game doesn’t start until 60 is dumb and people need to stop pushing it.
WoW was designed to be a fun leveling experience.
The raids were tacked on after the fact.
MC was rushed out in a week.

And yet, you continue to attempt to kick down at people who want to play the game you quit. That’s just narcisstic sadism. You aren’t playing, don’t want to play, and won’t play, yet you want to make life worse for anyone who doesn’t subscribe to your defeatist attitude.
SoM toons already were a negative to Era and they were 100x closer to Era toons than SoD toons are.
And yet… that’s exactly what the plan is for Season of Mastery, because it’s a “Season”. They already outlined what seasons would be years ago.
It is by far the best version and no we don’t need non-era toons.
So go play Classic. Build yourself a guild of Classic Era players, who don’t interact with all the ‘dumped toons’ that are never online anyway.
Why are you here if you prefer Classic. Go play that.
