It started going 50% during sales off like 3 months after release. Same for D4 being 25% off. Not many are buying into Blizz products anymore.

It’s also unclear how they would remedy that,
would they be in a perpetual sale so no one ever buys it at full price in the name of fairness?
Or would you get a warning when you’re buying saying if you wait 5 months, it will be 50% off and are you sure you want to purchase it now?
I’m genuinely confused about what is unfair here…

Sales happen. If you want to enjoy the product right off the bat then you’ll pay full price, if you wait like 6 times, there will be sales for dragonflight [doing great lol]
But if you bought it close to when the sale started, customer service [if it exists] can refund it or w.e

I know right but I pay with gold–token so not sure I can do that even with the token being like 300k now. 
If there is any sort of holiday coming up always wait to buy stuff. Oh and check to make sure it really is “on sale” some places like to play shenanigans and say it’s a sale price when it isn’t. Looking at you Amazon!

Yeah, you’re right. Noone is buying Blizzard games anymore.
I can’t post links, but any quick google search will show you that Diablo IV broke sales records. Here’s one of the headlines from CNBC:
" Diablo IV crosses $666 million in sales in five days, a record for Activision’s Blizzard"
So many of you like nothing more than to bash Blizzard regardless. You think it’s cool or something. Yet, you are still subbed in the forums. I wonder how many sub only to come here to complain and bash a company the supposedly hate but yet keep supporting financially.

If I only went by what people have to say about Blizzard games I wouln’t ever play one at all. Why? Check what people think of it now you say?
No matter when you check what people say all anyone does is bash the games. The forums are littered with it. People review bomb, etc. Amazingly enough these games keep doing well enough to have sequels, numerous expansions and even Classic versions.
But according to Blizzard “fans,” every franchise is failing and has been since BC pretty much.

SL was a huge hit in terms of pre sales.
How did it do off the bat. It sucked.
Sorry to say but using sales numbers for launch means absolutely nothing except that the game had good marketing, big fan base, lots of interest.
