Just a reminder with so many new character options coming up that we’ve had the 50 character cap for 15 years now. I know I’m not the only long term player constantly bumping up against this old cap. It’s past time it was raised, even if (and I hate to say this) additional slots can be purchased.
There’s also the idea of leaving the 50 cap but adding essentially character void storage for characters we want to keep but aren’t currently playing. This could cost gold and have a cooldown for swapping characters out.
And of course, for those who are “50 is fine”. That’s cool. Don’t use any added slots. Their presence won’t hurt you or impact your game at all.
So, while I dont care either way, I also don’t ENTIRELY understand why people need more than FIFTY characters. Theres 24-30 is already too many imho and thats what you would need for 1 of every class on both factions + a few extras. You can’t honestly tell me you have enough time to actively play 50 characters.
No one plays all of them all at once, genius. They focus on one main and do other stuff with others. They have old characters from the beginning of servers they don’t want to delete because of nostalgia, roleplay characters that aren’t brought out all the time, characters to farm old content, others for mats, others just to level when they feel like it, a bunch of Allied Races, etc.
Your logic is seriously flawed if you think someone with a crap ton of characters doesn’t play the game.
Well. No. I do understand the characters to run old content part, due to the fact that Raids have a weekly lockout, so having numerous characters to run raids (Ex. ICC for Invincible) is reasonable

I don’t see why not tbh, but there’s really no reason for Blizzard to do so. Altoholics have proven they will buy expansions and subs for multiple accounts for more slots.

Just like your 40 level ones’ mean so much? Play the game and stop making random alts you never touch. But i guess that’s all lfr warrior do, isn’t it?
I doubt people are playing half of those, I have 10 120s at the moment and maybe four actually get played. Half the time I ask myself why I even leveled them.
