$50 Bamboozle

In a previous post I wrote how Blizz would've prefaced the demo with some info about it's state for the sake of preventing the backlash they're now receiving.

But.. no, they sure wouldn't have. They made soooo much money off of announcing the demo. And this is what we got.

Embarrassing.

Yep.

People who regret buying this are probably more angry with themselves.
They definitely should have given a preface. They sold so many virtual tickets because of this.

They should of provided a short "Hey guys, the regen is off so everyone can maximize their playtime - don't worry classic won't be like that. Also, hey we will use some sharding just for the demo. Too many people want to play in such a condensed time, don't worry classic won't be like this. blah blah LFG is there but is not and will not be functional in future."

Would of saved them so much backlash as Modelcitizen stated.

Your wrong perception is not Blizzard's fault.
I think the demo is great, and with everything else in the stream... $50 well spent.

HAHA. More like their lack of information. The point is they know exactly what the classic community wants, and what would set them off.

Yet.. they conveniently don't let anyone know these things exist in this "demo".

My perception of the demo should be an "authentic" experience - why? Because that's exactly what they've stated. There's nothing authentic in this demo. And they knew exactly what they were doing.
You're the one who paid $50 for a demo. The only ones that should be embarrassed are you guys.

That's your misperception.

A demo is just that - "here's how the game/app/project is progressing". If you thought it was going to be complete, that's on you.

No, that's a DEMO. Stop talking about what you don't know.

And it's on YOU for not understanding that.

He paid $50 for a demo. He's not very smart. No need to argue with him.

Right, because when I DEMONSTRATE something for you, you should expect that what I'm demonstrating is not to be believed.

And a cash grab. How deceitful of them.

Blizzard, what have you become... how sad.
I’m not blind nor do I regret buying a ticket for Classic Panel.

It would have been more useful for Blizzard to mention something about known Demo irregularities during the opening ceremony, so BFA players are not disillusioned...and because of the multitude of posts since on Classic and the gleeful posts on General. That was a missed opportunity. You would be surprised how many people need things spelled out for them...no scratch that, this forum speaks volumes.

I still enjoy the Demo. The only thing that concerns me is Summer 2019. Are you sure these devs can fix these issues before launch, or will there be a delay? Time will tell.
