Troll post, but legendaries are extremely frontloaded. You can get the base version week 1 of being level cap and that’s the biggest deal. This particular thing is pretty alt friendly IMO.

Only part of alt friendly is leveling the rest is good luck. As for legendaries unless you are pretty off with guilds that do runs or boosting for the soul ash you are looking for a long haul to get it where it counts.

The difference between a rank 3 and a rank 4 legendary is like 30-35 DPS at most.
The fully upgraded legendary is not mandatory. It is not. It is absolutely not mandatory. It is icing on the cake, like Venari Sockets.
To clarify, that’s like a 0.5% DPS upgrade. It’s really not that mandatory, not even close.

Impossible, you get like 1250 soul ash in week 1 and than 570 per layer 8 wing every week there in, meaning you would get enough during the 5th week after doing your first Torghast.
It doesn’t take 5 weeks, you can actually get a legendary in a week or two, tops…
You only need 1250 Soul Ash to craft a legendary. Assuming you start at the lowest tier and don’t immediately go for the 235 stuff. If you’re doing the 235 stuff right away, then yes, it will take longer, but the 235 stuff is more for your main, not alts.
Ultimately, you’re crafting the legendary for the effect, not the stats, so having an ilvl 190 legendary will be just fine for an alt.
Nah you didn’t. Even if you did every single quest in the Bolvar questline and got max soul ash each week it would still take you 4 weeks.

The first rank in one week but to finish it to 235 it’ll take weeks that’s over 5k ash and added each level on top of that so that’s alot of ash.

A legendary is a legendary. Doesn’t matter what ilvl it is, especially on an alt as you’re getting the legendary for the legendary effect, not the stats on it.
If you were only interested in stats, then getting a legendary is useless when you could easily get higher ilvl standard loot for those same slots.

For an alt, it doesn’t. If you’re shooting for 235 right out of the gate, then you’re doing it wrong. Basically you’re setting yourself up for failure and a long grind. What you should be doing on alts is getting the ilvl 190 legendary first, because you’re after the effect, not the stats, and then because you already have the legendary and can make use of the effect, then you can work towards upgrading.
IMO, your argument here is as stupid as someone shooting for mythic raiding or M20+ the moment they get to level 60 and then whinging that it’s taking them so long.
I say this as someone who literally tried to do this very thing. I got my alt to 60, grinded for a bit, got the legendary power I was after from LFR Nathria and then I ran to the Runecarver ready to make my 235 legendary only to realize I needed a long grind to get it done.
I chose after seeing that grind to get an ilvl 190 legendary first. It’s working out far better for me because I can make use of the legendary effect right now, rather than gimping myself for 5 weeks without that performance boost.
