You need to use pets that are counted as from secrets. This can be big secrets like baal / jennafur or small zone secrets like wicker pup from drustvar. There’s a lot that are very quick to get or can just be bought off the AH. 105 pet charms to boost them to 25 takes no time either.
Sooo, I don’t have a single pet at level 25 beyond perky pug and one other. I’m pretty sure anyways, cause I don’t like pet battles. Are max level pets actually required for this secret? I don’t remember having to do all of this for lucid nightmare.

Yes they are. Again, 105 charms is maybe an hour.
Next week is Super Squirt week, I heard. Just wait a day and level up all your pets super easy. There will still be plenty of secret for you to catch up on after Tuesday.

i ended up beating him with 3 secret pets somehow not once but twice and the quest never popped up pretty annoying i did the other 4 orbs so not sure what i am missing as i did look up on wowhead seeing everything required for it

Yup, you need max lvl pets and they have to he secret pets

It doesn’t require secret hunt pets. Just any hidden pets, some are from quest chains that take 10 minutes, others from clicking 3 things.
Figured I’d take a little time to catch up on this stuff. Got to the Feasel pet battle, beat him 4x with Wicker Pup in the group and no quest. I have the 4th pylon lit and as far as I know that’s the requirement for the quest. I hearthed to get some pet bandages and Zarhym isn’t interactable. I didn’t loot chests or anything other than go to Feasel and battle.
Bugged I assume, which wouldn’t surprise me at all as of late in this game.
You need three different secret pets. Not one.

From my understanding you can’t leave the spirit area without getting the quest otherwise it locks you out.
You 100% can, you just need to relog so zarhym will let you in.
The only thing you can’t do is interact with zarhym’s actual daily rare event by doing the objectives in the cave.
To get to 5 o’clock took days. Getting and leveling pets is not hard. This has been the best event in game for a while. I honestly wish they would do more of this to get people exploring and seeing the world. Make weapons and armors that were unique and powerful that required playing the game and knowing the lore. I am not in to using item ids and just obscure hints that are not in the game, but it has still been fun. Get out there and play the game. Level them pets.
P.S. I have been a long time hater of content creators. The use of crendon was so fitting for this. He encouraged people in his videos to see the game. Bliz needs to expand this stuff people may never find unless they just pay attention to details, question everything and play the game. And get rewarded for it just like everything else.
