The pet battle was a piece of cake compared to the Sentry Statue puzzle. I’m sitting here after nearly 2 hours of clicking and failing to figure out the pattern. I seriously HATE these types of puzzles. Thanks Blizz.
A part of me agrees, but the other part of me would say that would make it a bit too easy, especially when they made the second orb requirement proximity-based, so if one person did it correct everyone in that ten-meter radius of the obelisk got credit.
Seems so far, you can not.
Nothing too easy about it. Too easy is going down to the store and getting me a Mtdew and just getting the red cycle for $2.

I would try logging out and back in since I heard others saying this worked if they couldn’t talk to the skull.
Yeah I saw the same advice and tried it multiple times, still locked out of talking to the skull. Guess something must have made it lock me out. I for one did not touch anything and just ran straight to the pet battle npc. I’m guessing it’s just buggy atm, theres people winning the pet battle but not getting the muffin and follow up quest too.

It having to be specific pets is taking me out of the running. I don’t have any of the ones on the current list and the few that are on the auction house on my server are already going for 150,000 gold minimum. I don’t mind putting some effort in working towards something. After all I did the Long Strange Trip achieve for the violet protodrake, but this is getting to be too much. I don’t mind doing pet battles, but only allowing it to be with specific pets is pushing it.

Well there’s 12 confirmed pets and probably more. Granted that’s a tiny fraction on the total pets in the game. But at least isn’t only 3! 🫨

That happened to me when I had to leave to go back to Uther’s Tomb. When I came back, I could no longer talk to the skull. I exited the game and cleared my WoW cache folder. Logged back in and I could interact with him again. It’s just a bit buggy, but you should be able to talk to him again as long as you don’t click any chests or the skeleton.

Honestly, three of the pets are fairly easy to get with just a little effort (two of which can be obtained in Drustvar,) and the other just requires getting a quest from a dragon in the Waking Shores to gather a few different drinks for her and the party she’s attending.
Saw someone was selling the Wicker Pup (one of the two that can be obtained from Drustvar) for over 100K gold on my server. Like… geez… but I do get the frustration. It would be one thing if it was “just defeat him in a pet battle” but needing specific pets themselves can be frustrating, no doubt.
And yeah, been seeing some bugs with this stage of the quest. As you said, with people just not getting the muffin despite winning, or just randomly getting locked out of talking with the skull.

Tried clearing my cache and wtf folders as well, still locked out from talking to the skull. At this point, I’m just taking the L and going to go and try to get the other pets as well as more bandages for when the server resets and I can pet battle the npc again

At first I was having fun with this as it went live and we progressed to the “escape room” part. I really thought/hoped that it was going to be a really thought out puzzle within the escape room. Instead we go gallivanting figuring out that the escape room is highly just a way to display your progress it seems. Kind of disappointed it went this route, and with the toy and pet requirements it turned pretty meh tbh.

I had an easy win on my 4th try with Fel Flame 1/2/1, Winter’s Little Helper 1/1/1 & Cogblade Raptor 2/1/1, but I did not get the quest and I was in the “ghost phase”! I had not killed anything or looted any chests! I will try “again” after reset.
Went from having none of the pets and not a single pet above level 5 to three 25 pets that worked and beating feasel in about 90 minutes.
People are blowing this way out of proportion. You’re gonna spend longer doing other steps.
