5% Movement Speed Gem

Is this still working in Shadowlands? It doesn’t affect +speed on the UI, and I can’t tell if it’s speeding me up or not. No sure if it was ever reflected in the UI?

Yep still works. There’s a lesser version of it that’s 3% that also works. With travel with bloop, some speed gear and those gem’s I’m up to 128% movement speed.
Also if you get deja stats that can give you more info about your extra stats such as leech/speed/avoidance.

Thanks. Dejastats says 119% runspeed with 151 speed rating, 5% gem and cloak enchant. This is for my pvp set, chasing people down behind pillars :>

I think the cloak move speed enchant is disabled in pvp

I am moving at 157% I feel like I no longer need a mount other than when the need to fly

Yeah,it still work have one on my rogue and plus speed on the cloak it works out good for her.

Can I use this speed to run old content!?

Ya, I think this addon just tells you how much speed you SHOULD have. I just tested this. I had 13% speed from tertiaries and a +5% speed gem, so timed myself and ran half way through Zandalar along a straight path. I then removed the socket slot with +5% speed (same 13% speed from tertiaries) and ran back. It took the EXACT same time…

I tested it multiple times both ways. The gem made no difference…

(To the person below, they either changed it or you’re lying. If either case, dont necro year old threads…)

I tested it, it definitely works. Im just responding/resurrecting this thread in case someone in the future goes looking for an answer to this (like I did)

I just tested this again as of patch 9.2.7.

I have the 5% Straddling Sage Agate gem in my helm and I ran from a specific spot at Aspirant’s Rest to a specific spot near the Spires of Ascension instance portal, a pretty long distance. Then I did the exact same route without the gem, being careful to make sure my starting and ending points were exactly the same (did not remove any of my other speed enhancements). I did my best to stay in the center of the road the whole way and I was on foot, not mounted.

With Straddling Sage Agate: 5:36.72
Without Straddling Sage Agate: 5:51.83

That still doesn’t answer the question of whether it works in PvP, but I may try to do a similar test in an Epic Battleground. Will reply here with that info if I get around to doing that.
