Honestly, with the introduction of purchasing visions for Echoes of Ny’alotha, I don’t think this is as much of an issue. No other mode in the game has had a practice either.

You couldn’t go in and practice mage tower attempts, and those had a currency. You can’t go in and practice raid encounters, and consumables / time is spent there too.

i’m of the mindset visions shouldn’t have a currency to get in at all, but not because I want a practice mode. You have months to get 5 masks done. You will succeed with practice.

Mage tower currency was literally nothing. You had multiple dozens of attemps easily without worrying about it.

In this you get 2-3 per week.

I don’t see any reason they couldn’t just say, when you talk to Wrathion inside:

1. “Enter the vision normally”.
2. “Empower the Vessel with the neck of AP-Grindiness”.
