4th spec for Shaman and Monk

Shaman has contract with four elements, water for resto, fire for elemental, wind for enhancement, if add a earth spec as tank would be perfect

Monk too has four August Celestials, tiger for windwalker, ox for tank, bird and Serpent both for healing, however in lore only bird should fit in healing while Serpent fit for range magic spec, would love to have one also

I’ve been saying this forever.

I’m glad I’m not the only one.

Is healing not magic, used at range? :face_with_monocle:

Think the serpent fits healing fine

Plus, pandaren aren’t really about destructive magic

The shaman earth element I could see working. It would also open up a mail wearing tank spec, which we do not currently have, as far as I know

They’d have to be careful not to step on enhancement though. It would probably be similar in using melee weapons, and enhancing themselves with elemental power

Monk is ok as it is.
Shaman needs a tank spec to make my life complete.
Been tinkering around and Im taking in four characters to shadowlands.
2 male Panda Monks…one alliance, one horde.
2 female Panda shamans …one alliance, one horde.

Hopefully those two classes dont end up getting trashed or I think Im just going to quit.

Id love to also have option for two handed enhance as well, or least a option. I miss talenting into that.

We could use more ranged casters and having a monk use energy chi blasts for ranged wouldn’t be so far fetched.

Shaman tank is definitely an interesting idea, would be nice to see, “variety is the spice of life” and all that.

I wonder how it would shake up the tank meta? Maybe base the tank spec off of Enhancement or something? It’s totally possible

No to shaman tank, there is no reason for it.
You already have monk, dh, dk, warrior, palidan, and Druid.
We need a new ranged class

I really think it’s cool how shammies use earth element for dps. I don’t wanna see that go to tanking. Not that I play shammy, but we have a lot of tanks already as someone else said.

I agree that we need another ranged class that uses mail armor + ranged weapon and isn’t about pets.

We don’t have a MAIL WEARING tank.

All the tanks are Plate or Leather, and they skipped us over.

So YES, we need a tank that wears mail armor. A bunch of leather wearing tanks is just silly. It’s starting to look like a biker gang.

We have 36 specs they can’t get right, adding more is clearly the correct course of action.

If we are that deep then adding more won’t really matter at all. Might as well go for broke.

Using that as an excuse will mean they can never add anything new to the game because specs will never be perfectly balanced.

Parrots need to start thinking for themselves

The correct and only answer is and forever will be 42. So, down for a monk archer spec (hunter cannot be the only one to capitalize on bows/crossbows).

If shammies could tank, I’d be making a shammy vulpera and not a monk. As it stands, monk is my option.

You’re biggest problem was suggesting this…, blizzard never listens to community suggestions…

So you basically confirmed this not gonna happen.

While a novel idea, it returns the game to 36 classes as opposed to 12 classes with 3 specs each, with minor exceptions being druid and dh.

I think enhance would be better off just becoming a tank spec.

Again, this is more a pillar of the class not necessarily a spec

There are 118 elements on the periodic table, so Shamans should have at least that many.

I wouldn’t mind a caster range for Monk…Mistvoker or something idk bad at names. Something more than spamming green lighting on mistweaver lol.

I’ve always wanted a monk archery/sniper spec. It’s a well known discipline that monks of various temples practice and are incredibly adept at, so it really is more unusual that they DIDN’T choose to go with that.
