Agree 100%, try coordinating a full guild move to SoD without server names lol. but its not an insurmountable problem we will probably just get together on Friday… Once we can post the Server name on our Discord we will know where we are all going.
They need to open up an PVE-RP server, as alot of those who RP donot play on PVP servers… if they want to Pvp thats what battlegrounds are for.
This is wrong, just plain wrong… RP-PVE is needed as most RP players on Normal-Pve get trashed and constantly looked down upon. (which makes no sense as this games OG Devs were hardcore RP players)
Why not just get all the players who will be on at launch in discord and decide together then?

You said that first. I can reasonably assume you were waiting till friday to decide based on this first sentence.
And with 75 guildies not everyone will be online at the same time hence why the need for server names, but we will just post in our guild information in game along with discord. But I find no reason at all to them posting the names today or early tomorrow. no need to make us wait until 4pm at launch, its just plain stupid at this point.
I understand that. I ran a guild in classic myself. They arent releasing server names because they dont want us piling on one server.
They will not increase realm size if we do that. The player base will just create massive q’s for themselves. They warned us here:

It bares reminding, this little line in our post on realm expectations for Season of Discovery -
“Please note: we will actively manage the realm sizes at launch, so you might see sporadic queues as the populations spread out and we ensure realm sizes remain roughly equal.”
The read between the lines there is if everyone tries their hardest to pile into a single realm, you’re going to run head first into a queue that we’re not going to do a dang thing about. Only when all realms are equal will be raising realm caps for that ruleset.
This is too funny, it won’t help. as Most folks are coming over as a guild from other version of WoW, like the base ever listens to Devs, besides since we pay for the game these devs really need to get it through their heads that the player base determines what happens not them, they are just a reactionary unit.
Most folks arent already in guilds.
The devs ignore the player base because we dont know whats actually good for the game. You dont give a child candy because it begs for it. You as an adult know its not good for the child.
You don’t need names to figure out which realm to pick. There’s only 4 and they’re all different. Just pick one.

I disagree most folks are in guilds(speaking of us Classic players, no idea about retail players) and most guilds are planning on going over and i’m assuming the close knit ones are going over to play together.
Nothing listed for PVE-RP… I prefer RP - PVE servers as most of the folks on RP servers aren’t a bunch of Jerks, like i’ve found on “normal” pve servers.
The point is to prevent people from creating horde or alliance only servers.
Its worth it.
