48 hour deserter debuff

Yes, I’m tired of leavers, learn to loose. Make the debuff stack to a max 48 hours.

I have come to the big brain conclusion that nothing blizzard does will make everyone happy.

Getting rid of exploit abusers will make everyone but the exploit abusers happy.

Well the reason we’re in this situation is cause blizzard removed raid Que which was a massive blow against premades but then after that they never did anymore active moderation and the premades eventually found a way around blizzards verdict with Que syncing.

And regardless of whatever weird gaslighting argument someone wants to make that their stance changed… it hasn’t because the raid Que ban is still in place to this day. They just have not ever looked at Que syncing which is their new “with more collateral damage” way of doing the same thing.

Well said! Ban queue synch and lets see who ends up with the 48-hour deserter debuff. I bet us PUG players will do fairly well.

But shouldn’t Blizzard address the reason why players desert first? Players leave because most maps are imbalanced and the outcome of most matches are decided in the first few minutes. Like IoC - if you do not cap Hangar, its game over, etc.

Players also leave when its obvious that they are up against a Premade.
Premades should only face Premades, sorry if your queue shoots up to 1 hour, that is the price you pay.

No sense in punishing people for leaving pointless games.

Are you volunteering to pay for those players’ lost sub time? Because deciding you no longer want to play a video game mode you pay for at any given time during the day is not a TOS violation. And you want people to be locked out of regs at that? Grow up

Today I have run into 3 separate Tichondrius Horde premades against Alliance pugs. Everyone was moaning before the match even started that we were going to get slaughtered. I’m sorry, but I am not going to get GY camped all match. That is not fun. And this is why fewer and fewer players are queueing.

You can have a good leaver penalty system that doesn’t affect the occasional leaving of matches, while punishing serial leavers.
You can also fix the reasons people leave so often.

The two are not mutually exclusive, nor does it require extreme penalties for leaving any match.

do this and you can enjoy 48 hour queue times.

I’d actually rather see penalties for premade groups who don’t accept their pop. Give them a 15 minute penalty if the whole group ( or at least 50%+ of the group) don’t take the queue. This would cause queue sync groups to not be able to scout and decline queue pops that don’t line up the way they want.

I don’t understand those who get so frustrated they AFK a BG. They are not rated, so you can just chill and find something fun instead like picking a side-battle.

They’re meant to be used as practice ground. If you got stomped then you need more practice… and what better place than the BG you’re already in to keep practicing?

Just wanting a free carry win will never make anyone a better player. Face the challenge, learn from your mistakes, make new mistakes and above all, STAY IN THE BG. (Why send a poor soul to fill your spot after your mistakes?)

Exactly, and sometimes you get a bad start but then you can turn it around

Turn all Epic BG’s into their respective version of Endless Ashran like AV of old use to be where games could last for 24 hours.

Only one EPIC bg is active at a time on a 3 day rotation of the following:
Wintergrasp
Alterac Valley
Ashran
Isle of Conquest
Tarren Mill vs Southshore
Tol Barad
Halaa

Backfills guaranteed. Pre-made groups encouraged. If Blizzard feels the need they can cap HK’s, Honor Gain and Conquest at X per day.

Never considered this as a BG, or the other open zone one in TBC. Could be fun.

If they can do for WG, why not? Plus it would be the only BG that would allow Flying Mounts/Dragon Riding. Plenty of possibilities.

Because people want to have fun, sync exploiters make it not fun. Not sure why that’s a weird concept.
