Can you guys do better itemization with trinkets? BiS trinkets are still from last tiers raid, does blizzard not see a problem with this?

two raid tiers being relevant is better than one raid tier being relevant.
If you’re talking about the Ashvane trinket, it’s actually unusable in most of the Nyalotha encounters due to boss immunity phases and/or add centric design. I guess you could use it on the Inquisitor and the voidhound boss. Maybe Maut and Ra-Den if your raid lead lets you scumbag it. Eventually you’ll have to pitch in on Drestagath, so that’s out.

Sounds good to me. I don’t think they should do a gear reset each patch personally. Hell I’d be happy if some classes had BiS items in Uldir still
one raid being relevant for a specific, probably singular, drop isn’t really relevant at all. It’s an oversight. No one wants to go full clear a raid for the one thing that’s overtuned at the end.

Yeah… this is one of those cases where sims aren’t everything. Razor Coral might look pretty on Bloodmallet, but it’s almost worthless in Nyalotha.

back in cata the ragnaros firelands agi trinket was bis for several specs all the way through to the very end of dragonsoul
same with the socketed cloak from rylith? or something

I still don’t have a razor coral look how many times i killed ashvane too thanks RNG. Its so dumb either nerf this trinket or buff the 8.3 raid ones. Its currently BiS over everything else even at 430.
Nobody does EP now so its impossible to get.
14 heroic kills + 14 coins and 2 mythic kills + 2 coins. No trinket.

Good luck finding 20 other people also interested in doing content this late for a single drop when all others are irrelevant.

I agree, but at most they will nerf them instead of buffing the new ones to feel rewarding, it just plain sucks that I’m stuck with a 445 trinket for the rest of the xpac, if they let trinkets get corruption at least that would curve it but they made a point to no let us sadly.
I hope they rethink it (i really hate using razor coral lol)
Edit: also the same goes for the EP raid essence for dps, its way stronger than others but good luck getting it if you haven’t already 
I mean, that’s a pretty bad example. Rune of Re-Orig was an infinitely scaling trinket that scaled with the rest of your gear slots. It’d potentially STILL be best-in-slot now if it hadn’t been curtailed with SOME limitations.
CoF trinket was used from NH through Argus, Blizz doesn’t care.
410 gear doing more DPS then 460 gear with the right corruption trait…

I don’t know what gear is best or even good for my role. Can’t sim healers to find out like you can for DPS, either. So I just toss things together and hope for the best. It’s not great.

Well maybe this will allow my two alts to finish out their ET essence grind. I came up a bit short on both and was worried no one would have any reason to still run ET with 8.3 being out.
If you want all trinkets to do same thing, it cuts from originality and as soon as you understand the fact that they have to be different, you also need to understand that one can be better than the other. And in this case, it’s in the previous one.
So grab your guildies and JUST DO IT.
