Just a quick copy/paste from one of my earlier posts feel free to contact me directly if you’d like (I’m Hank, the contact info is below):
Occasional Excellence 2 (OE2) is the second raiding team in the well-established guild Occasional Excellence. OE2 consists of like-minded individuals who share an interest in clearing content efficiently and quickly, while maintaining a healthy and respectful atmosphere. OE2 prides itself in pushing content competitively, while at the same time stressing the importance of having fun and maintaining balance.
Newly formed and late into Uldir, OE2 achieved Cutting Edge G’huun after forming 10 weeks before the end of the tier. OE2 has gone on to achieve CE Jaina, and are looking to clear even more competitively in Eternal Palace and beyond.
Occasional Excellence (OE) is located on the Turalyon (US) server and we are a hardcore progression guild on a casual (7 hour) schedule that believes in raiding smarter, not harder. OE2’s aim is to build on an already solid community & vision and become another one of the top two-day teams in the game.
Recruitment Needs:
- High priority for DPS with a healing offspec.
- Boomkin (even better with resto offspec)
- Mage.
- Exceptional ranged DPS classes.
- Retribution Paladin.
- Rogue.
Although the classes listed above are ideal, competitive players are encouraged to apply even if not listed. Must have strong mythic logs for consideration and previous CE experience preferred (ideally 8+/9M BoD).
As a potential candidate you should:
- Have extensive knowledge of your class and at least a basic knowledge of the other classes.
- Leave your ego at the door when you come to raid. Being objective is paramount in mythic progression. Consequently, those who cannot take constructive criticism or understand that there may be multiple raid strategies/answers to the problem at hand may have a difficult time.
- Keep drama to a minimum; this includes gear, raging, and raid protocol. You should strive to keep a positive attitude, respect your fellow raiders, and most of all have fun!
- Understand and learn of mechanics before the start of a raid encounter; use of YouTube videos, reading the Encounter Journal, and raid strategy forums are all ways that every raider should prepare themselves for an encounter.
What you can expect from us:
- We are an adult guild. As such, you can expect us to treat you with respect, value, and maintain a cool, collected environment. In return we expect the same from you.
- Most members have very active and busy lives. This means that when we come to play WoW, we aren’t looking for more stress or to waste ours or anyone else’s time. During raid nights, we come in with a purpose, and we come prepared.
- For more about what you can expect from us, you can read more in the Recruitment and Charter sections on the website.
Potential applicants are strongly encouraged to apply through the recruitment page of our website at:

Raid Schedule
OE2 has two core raid nights per week – Friday (8pm-12am EST) and Sunday (7-10 pm EST). We do not extend past those hours at launch or for progression.
In addition to our Mythic teams, we are altaholics, who commonly run Flex 30 content and lots of Mythic+ on off nights. We also run Sunday night alt raid and we currently run a sale/heroic farm run on Tuesdays when we have buyers. We also run scheduled Mythic+ runs on Mondays.
About Us (excerpt also on website):
Occasional Excellence has been around for the better part of a decade. It is a group of adult, mature raiders that share a common vision: a skilled, progression raiding environment with a reasonable raiding schedule. We take raiding seriously and progress quickly, but we refuse to lose sight of what’s truly important – having fun and maintaining balance. We are an all adult guild, 18+ required/21+ preferred. We have grown up together playing WoW, with an average age of late 20s/early 30s.
OE guild members are working adults and act like adults. We treat each other with respect, and in doing so, earn it. From the raid leader down to trial members, you can expect a calm, cool, and collected demeanor and a respectful tone at all times. If you enjoy linking meters and raging at team members during progression, then this guild is NOT for you. If you thrive with a bit of constructive criticism and understand that raiding takes a whole team, not just one elite dps/tank/healer, then keep reading!
OE is a guild comprised of skilled raiders who are experts on their preferred class and often many other classes. We are proud to have several class forum moderators, gaming journalists, simulationcraft class experts, and MDI finalists among our ranks. We expect our raiders to remain current with their theorycrafting and to min/max in every reasonable way. Our raiders have strong situational awareness and are always looking for ways to improve.
The combination of this talent and significant preparation before raid has led to a long history of successful raiding, both as a team and as individuals. We consistently progress faster than guilds that almost double our raid hours and many of our core raiders consistently rank in the top 1% of their class on Warcraft Logs, with several regularly placing in the Top 50 parses worldwide.
While we only have two required raid nights, OE is a very active guild on off nights. Our members can be found in Discord chatting, participating in alt raids, running 5-man content, completing achievements, or doing PvP any night/day of the week.
From our experience, we can honestly say that Occasional Excellence is probably unlike any community you have ever been a part of. If it sounds like it might be for you, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us. We look forward to meeting you!
