After reading this about 5 times today it is to my understanding that you only have to have one rank 3 azerite essence to activate the new currency at this time i have 6 character’s that have a rank 4 azerite essence on them 3 of which are siting in the chamber and not one of them can activate the new currency at all along with the fact of the one that I did the Mogu assault on and did not get a thing other than what came from the chest which you use to get the item that lets you go into the horrific visions. Now my question is not getting the essences is it due to having to be a specific essence that needs to be rank 3 or not reason for asking is the FACT that no where in your post does it state that it needs to be a specific one

[With regional restarts] Updated player health, damage, and healing scaling to compensate for Azerite Essences and Corruption.
    Developers’ note: Timewalking is meant to be largely gear-agnostic, allowing players with different progression and even different levels to group together. We’ve generally added hidden modifiers to offset the power of special systems like Legion’s artifact weapons while still allowing them to function, but had not done so for recent Battle for Azeroth systems, causing large imbalances in power between endgame players with Corruption and Essences.

Way to screw up the Timewalking raids, no one is bothering to do them since the ilvl loot rewards are lower than easier ways to obtain higher ilvl items.

This is nice, but I had not really planned on obtaining the cloak on all of my alts. Requiring alts to have the cloak just to be able to purchase essences for the necklace, makes this really a non starter for some of my alts.

I have already obtain the cloak on my main and my hunter, both of which I tend to use on just about any event available including raids and dungeons. But I have other alts that I just do some dungeon runs on or Island Expeditions with guildies and can’t get some of the essences I would like to have because of this cloak restriction.

  • Legion Raids and Dungeons
    • [With regional restarts] Legacy loot rules are now in place for Legion raids and dungeons.
      • Developers’ note: Standard encounters drop an amount of loot scaled by the amount of players in the raid, which results in fewer pieces for players who defeated encounters in small groups or as a solo player. In Legacy loot rules, raid and dungeon encounters will drop a fixed quantity of class-agnostic loot, regardless of the group size.

I am not seeing here that you also phased 120’s from completing the cooking achievement in Halfhill. Now when you leave Halfhill you just get Valley of the Four winds which stops 120’s from completing the cooking quests.

Faster cloak empowerment and the increase in the droprate of Echoes of Ny’alotha are now live in this region.

I would love to know the rational behind this change. I have a fresh 120, you have minimal gear and one rank one essense. I find it too much of a pain to do that legendary cloak questline with one rank one essence so I was doing emissaries to get a couple of essences before I did that questline.

This change won’t encourage me to go and do that questline in order to get essences. The path of least resistence is just to stop playing that character.

The quest for the cloak from rank 14 to 15 still require 8 Torn pages of the final truth it did not switch to 2. is still normal?

I agree the whole “we are forcing you to do the cloak questline, even though we know you hate it” is disappointing at best.

I was going to do it though on that character, just after I got some essences first. So what difference would it have made if I did essences then cloak or cloak then essences. I just will do nothing now which is a bizarre business decision on blizzard behalf.

So after the update today, I did a level 15 key and the end chest rewarded only 45 echoes of nyalotha. According to the blue post for today’s update, I assume all drop rates of echoes should be increased 5 times as before. I believe that 3 echoes per key level was the drop rate before the update, it should now be 15 echoes per key level. So did blizzard forgot to change the drop rate for mythic+ or is this a way to prevent us from farming ourselves 8 gushing wounds?

Such a joke, Blizz gave less than 24hrs notice for alts to buy R3 essences. Now it is just a waste of time playing an alt YET AGAIN this expac…

I see everyone griping about having the watered down version of the effort that everyone else had to do in its entirety. The idea the everyone wants everything but doesn’t want to grind for it means you don’t want to play a MMO in the first place. I’m getting annoyed at blizzard gifting all the players who didn’t do crap and want it all while the rest of us had to grind it out. I DO think the 'buff’s or reduced effort should be a soft achievement relegated to ALTS. If I have 7 120s, I don’t want to grind everything, but if I had to do it once or even 3 times don’t discard my effort by practically giving it away a month later to anyone who logs in. You make everything we do in the game meaningless. From the AP catch up mechanics, to all the rng gear that we’re all carrying 50 pieces of gear we don’t know what to do with, but hey wait, you can buy more of it.

Fix your dread wastes starting quest with bowmaster Li first. We cant complete Loremaster without it.

Would it be possible to add Lorewalker Fu, Lorewalker Shin, and Lorewalker Han to the minor assault version of the Vale of Eternal Blossoms? They’re present in the Black Empire version of the zone (and of course the original, pre-8.3 version), and it’s a bit of an annoyance having to talk to Zidormi just to make these NPCs show up.

The problem with the Auction House was not people scanning things, nor people posting things. The problem was with the no lifers who continually cancel and repost items over and over and over and over, in order to be bought first. The more obvious solution here was not to modify the Auction House API, but to put a delay timer on cancelled auctions. If folks got 10 cancelled auctions per minute in the mail, it would not affect folks who have to cancel one or two because they posted at the wrong price, but it would seriously slow down the repeat offenders without affecting people who post a bunch in the morning then leave it for the day.
