Epics are in a funny spot right now. We’re in the last season, everyone is so overpowered with gear, and henceforth bosses and vehicles have become next to useless.
I think the respawn time is fair considering how strong the siege actually is.
Catas are more support vehicles.
I would support Catas doing more damage to PLAYERS, not siege damage.
I agree.
Sure. That’d be interesting.
I disagree.
What if a team only spawns with one tank who’s kinda undergeared, or no tank at all? They’d be screwed.
Balance it so it’s POSSIBLE for the weakest team to win, and the possibility of 2-tower pulls is a necessary sacrifice. (Plus, multiple strats allow for counterplay.)
Interesting proposal, I agree.
I agree.
Is that actually a legitimate problem?
Sure.
Yeah, I agree.
Plus, they should make the wall/tower turrets do more damage to vehicles AND players.
Agree with missile speed, disagree with cast time.
I agree, but TB might need some changes of its own.
As much as I’d be down for new maps in the epic BG scene, Tol Barad, I believed, was very defense biased.
Overall, interesting post. I agree with most suggestions.
Long story short: I was farming wins for Khan. At the time, the alliance used to always go to docks and the Horde always lost because they didn’t go and kill them. I used this to my advantage by running to glaives, apply all my bleeds, die ,res, run back repeat. My record was about 36 wins in a row and eventually the Alliance and Blizzard caught on. Nerfs were made and the meta changed, but I already got some 70+ wins in less than a month, this was Feb 2021 give or take. The docks are useless now and I just want IoC to be just like the other BGs, capture 2/3 nodes for the advantage.
It’s a suggestion because 99% of my Ashran games don’t end in killing the boss, and I want to encourage pushing into the base further.
I disagree, atm the workshop feels very weak, especially when the opposing team has one or two turrets. I think the Siege Engine in general is very weak and should be buffed somehow.
See, a lot of people think the siege engine is weak because they mistake it for a MELEE vehicle.
In actuality, it’s supposed to be used as a RANGED ARTILLERY that does devastating damage from afar.
Notice how much damage I’m able to do from afar. The siege engine only dies when the driver gets too close to too many players for too long. https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1577193294?t=1020s
I single handedly won the games doing this alone, it was even more broken when I had a rogue. I consider it an exploit because it makes the docks completely useless. Yes it is in game mechanics, and it isn’t cheating, but a node shouldn’t be useless because of 1 or 2 people tunneling in a 40-man
I do agree this being the case, but the siege’s mechanics do not matter when everyone is either in base, in a tower, on the flying boats (w/e they’re called). Maybe if it could be used to capture other bases? Not likely. It should be the strongest siege in terms of taking down the walls.
Yea Blizzard seems to be aware that gear makes players stronger in PVE, hence every season both the new raids and mythic + are tuned accordingly. The PVP developers however seem strangely unaware of this phenomenon.
At the very least, the Siege Engine could use a health buff. Pretty easy to kill, especially with cannons, if enemy players are aware of it.
I think dots should stop dealing damage after the attacker has died. How is it fair that someone can continue dealing damage to a vehicle, or player, after they’ve been already killed? Have had numerous times where a balance Druid was killed but they continued dealing damage after rezzing.
Yeah, it’s easy to forget catapults even exist cause they don’t do much other than fling players into the enemy base. They are nice for quick movement though.
Agree, especially the workshop bombs, since they are far away.
AV
2. Agreed, AV often goes too quickly and isn’t as fun.
3. I don’t know about this, the last thing I want is for a player to feel like they have to stay at the mines the entire game, like SS in Ashran.
4. I think their damage is fine, considering you still have to worry about numerous other NPCs when trying to capture graveyards and towers.
Ashran
Are you talking about the gladiators? Those aren’t really a problem if the current stage is at the boss
This one is a little difficult, as the faction that wins RoC will have a surplus of fragments, while the faction that lost RoC has to farm fragments longer.
WG
Disagree, if anything NPCs should be less of a thing in PvP
Also disagree, these deal a lot of damage if used wisely, but they are quite annoying when los interferes.
For av you could get away with just removing the commanders they make it impossible to solo cap a tower or gy and they throw out like 35k auto attacks with more health then the elementals on each of them??? Bruh add ontop their buff that makes anyone with gear pretty much immortal in the hordes cramped towers when the commanders sometimes throw out an even more broken aoe ability they just make it a complete chore for no reason
I don’t agree that anything in a 40 man BG should be soloable.
I’m unsure of how to promote it more. But games ending most of the time due to reinforcements rather than the actual objective is a sign of bad mechanics. Something should be done to encourage killing the boss more.
Biggest QoL I can think of is not banning people for defending pvp objectives. Maybe hire some CS people who actually play the game and know what theyre talking about
