4% to all abilities?

4% nerf on all abilities is quite substantial. I just finished a mythic 0 with less damage than the tank. I feel my overall damage dropped way more than 4%.

It was an aura nerf for 4%, which meant that it was a single target nerf of around 3.7%. With the buff to Slicing Winds the AOE setup only lost about 2%.

If you are suddenly doing less than the tank then that is a you problem, not a Windwalker problem.

You are listing a 5.7% overall nerf in your explanation. Lol

He doesn’t mean 3.7% and 2%. He means it’s only 2% if you count the Slicing Winds buff.

Single Target and AOE are two different things, so you don’t add them.

This might be more mechanical error than the result of a 4% nerf. Unless you were barely outperforming tanks before the patch, you shouldn’t be below the tanks consistently.

The overall impact on single target situations is about 3.7%.
The overall impact on aoe situations is about 2%.

It sure feels like they were not honest in the patch notes. They say officially that it was 4%, but it’s simming closer to 20% on my internal tests. But then, I have only their word to go off, and when this happens along with other classes being supported way better (like Druid and Mage which is why I main both now), a “Bro trust us” doesn’t cut it for me.

We have more than their word to go on, there is game data we can analyze.

Also, 20%?? That would be impossible to miss in practical gameplay man.

To be fair tanks ate very. Overtuned with damage now, especially blood dk.

Tanks should do little damage, but be very hard to kill and while generatimg massive, passive threat.

This concept that tanks need to dps to maintain threat has to. Go.

Well here’s the raw spelldata that simc uses showing that the aura applied to all abilities for windwalker went from -2% to -6%, meaning ability damage went from 98% to 94% which is about a 4.082% reduction. Not sure where you’re getting 20% from.

I removed the affected spells portion since its basically everything and takes up a lot of space to include.
