4 new classes + 4 new races in shadowlands?

what if shadowlands gives us 1 race and class per covenant.

faun and shadow hunter night fae (night warrior spec from tyrande, other 2 specs from voljin, wears mail)

maldraxxis (necromancer and skeletal people)

revendreth (vampires and bloodbenders)

bastion (vaklyr and djinn/kyrian ppl)

comes in later patches of shadowlands maybe shadowlands comes out early so 9.1 can add the classes because the Main reason devs say there are no classes at launch is because we learn of the new class/es IN THE SHADOWLANDS and that they will come out either later in shadowlands or in the xpac after.

or maybe the devs mean no new class at launch, we get it in bfa during the shadowlands prepatch and learn about it in shadowlands and if not then, we must wait till next xpac after we know all about the new class but this would be a lot worse, most likely next xpac has different themes and it would be lame to have a shadowlands class in a xpac not about shadowlands or necromancers…….e

Hahaha, that would actually be terrible when executed.

I like the overall idea of a new Allied race & class for each Covenant…

However, would the classes be limited to that race, i.e. like DHs are only NElves & BElvs?

Just thinking of their viability going forward past SL.

Yes once we reach maximum influence we can become a necromancer if we join the necrolords, your old class is gone and becomes necromancer.

Just so I can read the topics of “I WANT TO GO BACK TO MY CLASS, NECRO IS UP AND BAD”

Classes are already an unbalanced mess. adding four new ones would just be adding an entire fuel tanker to a fire

No bones about it… Get it? Because you would summon skeletons… I’ll see myself out.

Maybe they are class locked, so each new AR would be the only ones who could be that class.

that’s fair, really don’t see void elves + nightborne + revendreth vampire elves EVER being dhs, and would like more race locked hero classes, also due note that Hero classes only start at lvl 8 in shadowlands while allied races start at lvl 10, they nerfed hero class levels for a reason
so they did have new classes in mind this is also the reason allied races are no longer tied to exalted rep starting in shadowlands because of future AR in mind.

Lol they already have a hard enough time balancing classes right now imagine adding 4 more all within the time span of a single expansion (maybe 2 years?) It would be a disaster.

People who want even more classes must hate WoW.

Dude, please. NO. NO. NO. NO.

Yeah that would be way too much work for Blizz to create 4 new classes in one xpac…

Too much development time into a balancing nightmare.
Nah.

Anything as large and important as a class would have been announced long before alpha began. That’s not something you hide as “surprise!” down the development cycle.

What she said. No.

considering we’re already in Alpha if we were getting new classes and races we would know

What if instead… each covenant takes one playable class away and it stays with them in the Shadowlands when we leave?

DH stay with Revendreth
DK stay with Maldraxxus
Priests stay with Kyrian
Druids stay with Night Fae

Then it’ll be a tad easier to balance what’s left moving forward. :stuck_out_tongue:

id be down for some new races but 4 new classes to balance might be a bit much. Just add necromancer since i keep seeing people ask about it.

Shadow Hunter:

Improve Hunter instead, especially survival (one complaint is that people want the option to use a bow, instead of being melee, since they are A HUNTER.)

Necromancer:

Improve Warlock and/or DK instead (seems like they are doing this anyway, in SL.)

Bloodbenders:

What? Just making up stuff now? But again, sounds more like Blood DK stuff to me

I don’t know if Elune is even connected to Ardenweald or this is something we’ll learn in SL. Yeah yeah… Trolls like Loa and Bwomsamdi is somehow now a “Night Fae” guy because he was taking orders from a non-Loa. Sure. Loas… aren’t Druidic. Only some of them. Tauren have more connection to Druidism than all of the Trolls. Even still they have less to do with Druidism than the Night Elves. I mean the Horde have more to do with Shamanism so it’s balanced. I don’t think Trolls would get the archetype for Ardenweald on the Horde. Wouldn’t both of these classes be for both factions by the same name rather than different names for the same class anyways?

I’m thinking Arden Knight, Weald Walker, Fae Guardian, or Night Warden. All of these names could easily be for an “Ardenweald” protector class.

I think Necromancer is a straight and proper name for this Covenant’s class.

Warlocks only suck the life force from their enemies and Blood DK’s really do fit this niche, but there is no straight Blood draining mage sort of like the Blood Magic from Dragon Age.

Blood Sorcerer

Templar as an Arcane warrior variant class.

you can use these

Ardenweald Protector Class (Arden Knight, Weald Walker, Fae Guardian, or Night Warden)

  • Specs: 1 Healer and 1 Ranged DPS (Spirit/Ice protection and healing, Ice & Shadow ranged abilities)

  • Armor: Mail

  • Weapons: Bow (Maybe also New Weapon type?; Thrown- Medium range)

  • Theme: Spirit/life, Shadow/Death, and Ice magical ranged/healing abilities.

Healing Spec can use Ice and Spirit/Life magic to heal their allies and assist them in combat.— Ranged Spec combines the magic of Ice and Death to inflict damage.

Maldraxxus Necromancer Class

  • Specs: 2 Caster DPS (Shadow/Necromantic Damage, Necromantic/summoning Focus)

Blood Sorcerer

  • Specs: 1 Caster DPS & 1 Melee/Cast DPS Spec (Blood Leech Caster, Melee/Cast Blood drawing fighter)
  • Armor: Leather
  • Weapons: Staff/1h-Offhand; 2h/1h dual wield options
  • Theme: Blood, Death, and Spirit Magic

Blood Melee Spec will focus on drawing the blood of their enemy or their life forces via Spirit/Death and using the blood/life power to inflict more damage.— The Caster spec would use Leeching Blood Magic from afar. (The magic would use your own blood to inflict and leech the life and blood energy off of their enemies, so even creatures with no blood but have life can be efficiently killed)

Kyrian Templar Class

  • Armor: Plate
  • Weapons: 1h-Shield/2h Weapon
  • Theme: Arcane, Spirit, & Death Magic

The Healing Spec would use Arcane and Spirit to protect and heal their allies.— The Tank Spec can use Arcane and Death magic to defend themselves and their allies while also dealing damage to their enemies.
