Where can I find information on what to expect after this four hour server maintenance? Frustrating when my days off happen to be Tue/Wed and I wake up to this

You can expect the same game to be live with no explanation. Acting like you’re owed one at this point is comical.
Have you thought about changing your days off? Wow maintenance has been the same day for almost 20 years.

Completely concur. It is not entirely unexpected since they just released the new phase; however, I am still disappointed as I was just getting logged in to play when the server announcement hit.

They are implementing armoury and letting you inspect peoples’ HKs

Yeah I agree its frustrating. I go to work in 5 hours and by the time the expected servers to be back online I have at least 1 hour to play. I jumped on for like 30 mins before they shut down. Trying to level up this brand new Rogue alt on Faerlina. I was trying to hit the Brill quests before I head to crossroads for the long extended questing. After experiencing how rough it is to level a Priest at the beginning I needed to play a melee class lol.

Priest leveling =
- Put 5/5 in wand spec. in the Discipline tree
- Craft or buy the enchanter wands
- Power word shield yourself
- Put up a dot and wand stuff down
That’s lol easy early level Priest leveling imo.
After that continue by 3/3 PWS and 2/2 Improved Power Word

I could do that but I want to get Shadow form right when it comes available. I have the most updated Wand at my level. Priest is level 14 atm. Usually I shield, Shadow Pain, Mind Blast, wand wand wand. It at least gives Spirit Tap the chance to procc now. I’m trying to stack mostly Spirit atm. Sometimes I’ll smite while I’m waiting for Mind Blast to get off cooldown. I know its not idea but it helps with the damage. Going up in the Shadow Tree will help some. Also I’m trying to stay in Shadow Tree for Mind Flay. I have a boosted Dwarf Shadow Priest on Pagle and the damage from Mind Flay is insane. I may go as far down the Shadow Tree as I can before switching to Disc. Then for PVP I’ll probably roll Disc.
In the past with classic rarely has it ever been the full duration.
I would expect servers up after an hour or so
EDIT: nevermind i take this back. Retail is down same time. Tells me they are working on their authentication servers. Back end stuff. Very boring. Could be the full 4 hours.

syraxis grindin 39 levels to save 1g on a respec is pretty stoic. ur new char could get that 1g in a couple minutes just farming light feathers

I have enough gold to respec. I’ll do some thinking on that. It would just mean that I would get Shadow Form and Mind Flay later. Hmm. On my Rogue I’m rolling Mining/Engineering for the PVP side of it. Constantly farming nodes when I see them.

Season of Mastery is up which is strange since the other two are offline.
Priest leveling is literally the easiest with probably the fewest buttons to press (besides hunter) and one of the fastest with spirit tap
honestly its stupid that tbc and retail both have 4 hour maint on the same day i can understand retail since there is a patch on the 22nd but tbc there is literally nothing happening and no reason to have a 4 hour maint

I personally prefer heading over to Ghostlands, questing area is amazing, tons of good low level gear and you can get to like 18-21 if you do them all

Ah. I never thought about Ghostlands. I typically run Zygor’s Guide so it helps out with the leveling process. What is nice about it is it lets you know what skills that your unlocking in lets say 2 levels. I know it keeps popping up for my Mage to run to that area to get teleport for Blood Elf Capitol. After you do enough Undead Quests in the starting zone you know where to go for other characters. Same for Barrens. I have them memorized like the back of my hand. So I can usually knock out 2 or 3 quests without needing any help from the guide. Its one reason why I’m liking leveling my Rogue. With some good green swords I can breeze through mobs like butter. Less downtime.
