Ah, I appreciate the info, but I can do without the mount. I rather not play Classic.
You only have to do the DK starter zone. I mean if you don’t want to, that’s cool… but it’s like a half hour to do

I got it, but it was hard to stomach.
Classic isn’t my thing. I enjoyed vanilla when it was current, but this is 2022, and I like the advancements Blizzard has made in retail.
More importantly, the server I chose (Old Blanchy) was full of alt. right MAGA people.
General chat was full of bigotry to the point it felt like I had stumbled onto the Stormfront forum.
Getting through that starting experience was an arduous process as a result, but at least it didn’t take that long and I was used to doing all the quests already.

Move general chat to its own tab and and you wont have to see it. Gee that was hard!
As for the starting zone, its not as bad as you may remember it. I breezed through it very quickly.

I don’t silence chat. I like to see how far gone the world is. It reminds me that there is no hope, and to think otherwise would be foolish.

Yeah i did.
I don’t “silence the chat” either, I move it to another window if need be and check back every now and then. There are options including the ignore button if you don’t like what someone is saying and you simply did not take them. You did however take the option to cry on a forum about something that was avoidable. Well done my precious one.
