4 Button Game

I have been playing sense 2009. If this 4 button BS comes true I will cancel for sure.

I too have been playing a 4 button game since 2009. It’s called Simon.

That Atari controller with a joystick and a single button.

Tempest arcade game for me. The original one button rotation, literally. Or maybe, one knob rotation I guess.

Awesome graphics as well.

It’ll never be as low as 4.

You’re playing a MoBA at that point.

Currently, some classes have as many as 40 functional buttons with varying degrees of utility and usefulness.

They’re trying to cut most classes in half, so you might end up with twelve to twenty buttons instead of forty.

Yeah, as someone who has played this game for two decades now, I am a bit dismayed if class complexity changes, because I learned to play classes as they are today.

And I’d just relearn every iteration between expansions.

But total reworks don’t bother me- I’ll just adapt and learn as I’ve always have.

Who knows?

What if simplifying this ends up making the game a lot more fun to play?

I can honestly see that being the case for PvP alone.

I feel like we can’t really speak on it now until we’ve had time to play with the changes ourselves.

People can focus more on what is happening around them and less on their UI and procs and whatnot.

okay.

What kept you from cancelling back in 2009 when rotations were less than or around 4 buttons?

Stop lying….

it was 5. autoattack. in case the game forgot to turn on from your 2 casts.

Or shadow priest. Aka wand priest. think about casting, go OOM from just thinking about it. Press wand.

It’s been a one button game for a little bit now. You should have cancelled when the one button assist came out, if you care this deeply about it.

That’s not a bad thing.

the cool thing is you can quit even if it doesn’t become a 4 button game

No, you won’t.

There has NEVER been a such thing as a “4-button class” this isn’t Diablo…

Era had/has many ways to get mana starved and OOM.

So after you blow all that mana….its now 2-3 buttons. this is why even in anniv we have many in the waiting for tbc club. It helps reduce that.

Era rotations can be strong opener….build up mana over minutes of 2-4 rotation….slap em again. rebuiid mana. 80% “2 button”, 20% 4+ button.

A fun fact I like to bring up is onyxia was cleared by dudes who wore no armour. Purists will go well she was an easy boss.

Exactly. so easy, you didn’t need armour, resists, etc to drop her.

Uh… I’m not really sure what you are trying to get at, even era didn’t have a 4-button class, I’m not talking rotation and if that’s what they’re complaining about, they’re even more foolish than I already currently know.

Being OOM doesn’t change that either.

Ik, I play Resto Shaman which is one of the worst offenders.

I have an extra taskbar on him compared to my other characters.

Hesitant about the changes but optimistic nonetheless.

I’d actually take at least RTB baked in to something else.

when is a rogue not pressing it?

I’d lump in slice and dice too. BUt some purists out there probably like the carpel tunnel of that lol.

Sort of like how later s. priest (I come from heavy classic play),egets the talent to make tap and word: pain..1 cast. Most shadow had that press button 1, now button 2 anyway. lets just make it press 1. Sometimes blizzard sees good logic.

I have 32 keybinds as a BM hunter.

Its a good thing. Not everyone wants a braindead game.

Are you talking about the Midnight changes? The ones in the patch notes? The ones that are 100%, without a doubt happening? Because…. well…… they are….

And why are ya all bound up about 4 buttons? You can play this game, moderately efficiently using the 1 button macro.
