Just came back and farmed up some gear in bg’s, like I had in the past, never had a problem grinding to 2k with honor gear. So I queue up in group finder and find a couple like minded people who want to play, they even have some 213 gear! Great!
We win 9 in a row then literally every single team has 38-40k+ HP. I think we stopped at 1100. I have never in my life had such a hard time trying to gain rating. My paladin has is 198 ilvl, I’m playing vs moonkins backpeddling pressing convoke getting instant interrupted, pulling rogues out of stealth almost every single match, haven’t seen a single fake cast, the whole thing. It’s terrible. This is not the game I fell in love with. IMAGINE if I was a new player, and this was my first experience with World of Warcraft. It is not healthy for the game to be so unwelcoming to new/returning players. Say I say f- it and wait til next season and start fresh then, am I still going to be behind because I didn’t play this season? PVP should not be tied to the amount of gear you have, it should be tied to skill. And if it is tied to gear, it should be obtainable by everyone.

Its ok wait until you get max geared and fight warriors every game that have no clue what they are doing and just dumpstering you pressing one button.

Yeah. Someone in full unrated honor or even starter conquest gear is expected to climb through 1200-1600 with a bunch of ilvl 220+ dumpers in the mix. Usually rbg players who got high ilvl from broken rbg system.

LFG is dying too, it used to be full and these last 2 weeks, LFG 3v3 is kinda empty on alliance side other than the booster ads. People gave up. For a reason.

What’s the avg lfg post during peak times? Was planning to level nelf 
I ran into a 1700 backpedaling mage in rbg’s. Time’s have really changed since mop/wod.
2s, you will prolly find something. 3s might be tricky. You can always try to post your own group.
Personally, I am going to catch up on PS games once my ps5 arrives and play ESO on PC till 9.1-9.2.
Honestly, just get at least 213 gear through RBGs. Thats what I did on my alt I fairly recently geared, unless you play a class like warr/mage/boomie that can get away with still winning with lower gear because of very strong toolkits+skill, it will be rough. With 213 gear you can at least compete and win with skill against 218-220 geared people, and its not very difficult to even just spam yolo RBGs and get 1600, thats honestly the best way to approach gearing up an alt to push rating at this point, gear scales up in power far too quickly/too much and I suspect it has something to do with the stat squish before the xpac that influenced blizzard into scaling gear the way they did.

It’s sad but if you’re this far back in the season it would be advisable to gear through RBG’s for a bit.
The vendor idea is great and I love that I can target stats I want from the vendor.
I don’t like that it’s an 80 ilevel difference between starter blue PvP gear and Max upgraded PvP gear. And the 100k honour grind for each of these sets is miserable.

The arena system is extremely broken right now, you’re much better off doing RBGs. You can get 1800 in under 50 games.

if you get lucky. your teams will be hitting 220 geared players after 1400 regularly, which will make your rating gains marginal and random
the mmr system, class balance, and covenant abilities are all coming together to create a pretty bad pvp season

Well, the player base has gotten better over time in your absence, so that could be one explanation as to why you’re not longer playing at a glad level. Everyone else just got better and the competition is a lot stiffer.
That’s not the genre… this is an MMO-RPG. An important part of the MMO-RPG is your character, gear, and stats.

I played like 50 2s matches and every other match has some 220ilvl players… I’m 1160 rating.
