Does it have any value for pvp after I made my pvp helm and boots?
Are pvp helm and boots the only slots you can use a spark on for the pvp item level?
Those are the only 2 items that will auto scale in pvp. If you got one of those slots from a vault pull, or needed to swap tier in for one of those pieces you might be interested in crafting a neck or something.
There are a bunch of different embellishments that you can pick from. You can look them up and see if there is any others you’d like to have, but you’ll have to farm the primal focus to get it to 405 ilvl and concentrated primal focus to get it to 418? i think.
so basically useless then since we are capped at 2 embellishments and the pvp item level doesn’t change
Future patch upgrades to those items maybe? Either way the quest takes so little time I am banking them just in case.
I can tell you I made the two crafted pvp items. I got my tier helm the first week I banked the helm, used the crafted helm. Got my tier chest second week, banked my crafted helm put my tier helm on.
Now I’m farming the primal focus from pvp drops to make a crafted neck at 405 ilvl and I’ll upgrade it to 418 later when I get those mats. The neck embellishments are stronger than the helm by a long shot. A few ilvls on a neck isn’t going to make any difference though.
So no, they aren’t worthless. But they aren’t free 424 items. You have to grind a bit to get the other crafted items item level up.

Will they be used in changing your armor to tier at the forge?
I doubt it. Last time you just had time gated charges you could swap items- non tier for tier weekly-
They are only used for crafting items at this point, and in a few weeks you’ll be able to farm as many as you want to try different embellishments.

Look at other things, I think there’s gems with primary stats + secondary stat not sure if it uses spark.
