I’m tired being pulled OUT of the game for information. Addons are too much now, logs and parses, people over-analyzing every single bit of the game.

i use maybe…4-5 add ons.

When you see Mythic raiders having 20 different things. It’s because they are trying to compete, and play as optimally as humanly possible.

The general player doesn’t need all that.

That’s an information site, like WoWhead, I’m fine with that, they’re just guides.

Warcraftlogs is the main one. Parse and Addons, are the doom of WoW. Turn a game into Excel 9-5 Job expert.

Yes, I believe in this sense that ignorance is bliss.

When you play Mario, do you see the damage you’re doing? No, but still having fun!

We get stronger as a group in this game, since it’s an MMO, your “solo” power shouldn’t matter as much as the success from cooperation.

I believe there should be less data available to players. Less data makes it more like a videogame.

It should be OBVIOUS without scouring thousands of line of combat logs through a 3rd party ranking site.

how should it be obvious? if you hit an enrage timer in a 20 man group, should there be a monty pythonesque hand of god that comes down from above that points at the problem player(s) ?

If you suspect the lack of damage, but I think the game should some sort of limited damage/healing meter.

You missed the enrage? you don’t have enough damage. that’s the reason. Try again, go gear up and come back later with your team.

Even in this scenario you are looking for someone to blame. Sounds toxic to me.

Don’t look at logs if they bother you. Problem solved?

I really dislike in FFXIV that I can’t just have a dps addon for example. How do I know if I’m improving.

There should be a built in damage/meter to show, or the damage need to be slowed/toned down so you can see.

“I used to execute for 2300, now I execute for 2500”

You know what’s the doom of WoW? This dang default UI. Thankfully mods can solve that. Not thankfully, mods are quasi playing the game for folks now.
