I thought they were illegal?
i.e. MacroGamer being used by a lot of people in Classic WSG to make difficult jumps a whole lot easier.
It’s a risk they take. Blizzard rarely does any actual detection of cheating programs to create a ban, they use that data to uphold a ban.
Use any illegal program or hack in WoW right now, privately without anyone seeing you, and you’ll be completely fine. Go and pick up some reports from players though? Now you’re at risk for a ban, and the detection of that program will be found on appeal and keep your ban in place.
This is how 10% of the population is allowed to be a bot. This is how a percentage of those bots are allowed to flyhack. Rotation bots, hardware or software macros; anything else you can think of. It’s all okay until you get reported for it.
And even then, one report isn’t enough.
Anything that presses buttons for you is bannable.
^ This (or so i thought)
I’ve seen this 3rd party macro being talked about, but refuse to use it. I value my account too much lol. On the other hand, I know many people who do use it and I haven’t heard anyone being banned from using it.
Would need way more information before coming to any kind of conclusion on what you’re asking
What does the macro do?
How can it possibly make very difficult jumps easier for you?
He’s talking about MacroGamer which from what I know, presses the Forward+Spacebar (jump) simultaneously. Something that helps immensely when exploiting terrain jumps in WSG
Seems highly illegal but Microsoft somehow cares about WoW 1/20th of how much ATVI did.
Aka good luck nobody cares entire company will be ran by AI in a couple years anyways
Couldn’t you just program a key on a Razer keyboard to just press both at the same time when you press spacebar?
