It sure would be nice having another DPS spec to play for when one of them sucks.
Would be cool, but odds are very very slim.
Would love a healing spec that uses 2h weapon like a scythe (allari the souleater). They could use different sigil’s for healing (one that heals instantly and one that applies a HoT) and utility and make it so you can spawn soul fragments that are used to increase the power of your next heal.
They were in service of the Illidari they were not demon hunters

A third spec should still be a thing, but needs to comply with established lore without retconning or wrecking what already exists. (Something that the community seems to increasingly promote and be okay with, which is alarming)
Additionally, I don’t really see another melee spec for the class that is unique, so I believe the one only real way to accomplish this would be for the spec to be a ranged one centered around glaive throwing (Think Draven from LoL) with a couple added fel magic abilities like sigil of flame on the side.
