It’s Spring in California, where Blizzard HQ is located.
I feel like people are just passing by the fact that OP is just straight up lying.
Like, we can see the April trading post preview. There is neither pink nor butterflies.
There’s no argument or debate to be had with someone just shoveling bs from the outset.
Mixed feeling s here. Times like this give me a chance to stock up on tender for when something (or lots of them) are made available that I really want.
Yeah, I wouldn’t exactly call a Darkmoon Faire themed month “pink” and “butterflies”. I’m happy they’re doing it, the set needed some accompanying weapons to make it work. And they seem usable, especially with the green variants, for some other transmog sets.
They look like butterflies to you?
lmao.
The garden gnome ensemble is a chef’s kiss, and I say this as a person who did not want or like or purchase any of the butterfly themed items from this month.
The toadstool shoulders would be so great on a druid (except I have never liked any shoulders on a Night Elf female model because they are all comically oversized).
The belt is also fantastic.
On a gnome? Get outta here, it’s gonna be amazing and every Gnome in the game is about to be running round lookin’ like a garden gnome. It’s gonna be amazeballs.
I’m mostly into the Trading Post for pets and accessories that will complement my personal mog choices, which trend toward “something a person would actually wear.”
I love that there is a black trench coat available right now through the Darkfuse. I have always wanted my rogues to wear the kind of clothing someone who didn’t want to be seen at night would actually choose.
Trading Post ensembles are generally too full of flair for that, so I stick to pets and the occasional plain-looking weapon when they make those available.
Everyone likes different things. If you don’t like something this month, it means more tender for you when a theme you do like comes around. I don’t know why we have to reiterate that to an audience of presumed grownups every single month.
TP is the dumping ground for crap they can’t directly monetize, isn’t good enough to be a tier set, or doesn’t fit in with regular content + is easy to slap recolors on. It’s not for stuff that a large segment of players will actively pursue getting, that hook is better spent somewhere else. TP is there to reward the most minimal monthly participation imaginable, so passively that a lot of players finish it in a day or two without even trying.
The kind of armor set people are imagining will NEVER be on the trading post because it’s too attractive as a reward somewhere else that takes a larger player investment to chase. It’ll be the clockwork set in 8 more recolors. The closest it will get to dark and edgy is recolors of the halloween scarecrow outfit.
If you want gritty body type 1 mass appeal, roll a dk and get their current mythic tier set. That’s where those things will go.
i love butterflies <3
Beginning of the month. Must be edgelord time again.
I just want Blizz to make some nice updated suit cosmetic transmogs.
Please, I just want to wear a suit! Preferably with a tie!
And give us the agent shades that Classic got while you’re at it.
Ok sure but by your own logic this month’s Darkmoon stuff should be added to the Darkmoon Faire, since this content fits perfectly there.
Also not everyone wants dark gritty armor. I personally would like them to explore aspects of WoW lore and cultures that largely go unloved.
Because it all needs to be fire and brimstone and red and black with spikes and gore and blood and dead stuff dangling off of it or else the forums get in an uproar about it.
God forbid Blizzard caters to the people who like fluffy stuff for a bit on the optional vendor.
If ya’ll want the opposite of that stuff go farm Shadowlands raids and do Torghast for a week and you’ll get all the dark and depressing mogs you could ever want.
Are you complaining? If we get more pink and butterflies I say, good! If you don’t like it, don’t buy it or buy something else.
I looked on wowhead, I don’t see any butterflies. What are you talking about? Link it.
It’s difficult to integrate these random Trading Post mogs with other pieces, and their insistence on making 1/3 of a set and calling it a set has always been odd to me. You’re 1/3 of the way there, go for the whole thing!
The items we tend to see seem like the artists daydream something and a higher-up says, “Sounds good, just make that”, and then they try to pass it off as a “theme”.
Also, make the Midnight Prowler masks available already.
More pink/butterflies, please!
Awesome! Let’s go for 4!
Wish they would put some of the old stuff from remixes in the trading post. I missed the MoP one which has nice mage transmog.
