3D character model export for printing?

Hi Blizz, just wondering if you would ever give armory or the game client an option on our character page to export a 3D model of our character into a suitable format to allow us to easily 3D print our own characters? This way we could print our favorite character (or even all of them!) and have fun painting them and putting them on display

I like this idea. Granted I would have to purchase one of those 3D printers, but it would be pretty cool.

I believe wow model viewer has an export function you could bring into a 3D modeling program, and then use that to make any further modifications you need before printing them.

This is something that companies already did. It was years ago though. You could order a small, 3D printed model of your character in a plastic display case.

If that model viewer thing exists, and it exports in a known model format, then running the model through Blender, and then to a slicer for your printer should be a doable thing.

It looks like the forum was taken over by WhatsApp advertising bots or something about 4 months ago. I’m not sure the application will get updated for Shadowlands.

It’s something they could implement for nearly no cost and be a really popular feature amongst subscribers.

I’d even be happy if it was a paid feature
