I updated from Windows 10 to Windows 11 and now I can’t launch retail WoW. This is the ONLY game with the issue, I can launch any other Blizzard game (including beta and classic).
I’ve unplugged all additional monitors.
Went to %programdata% and deleted files.
Completely uninstalled and reinstalled WoW.
My Windows and drivers are up to date.
I’ve made sure all overlays are disabled.
My 3080 is set as the GPU to launch the game.
You may also want to try configuring the Nvidia settings so that WoW is using the card:
Right-click the desktop
Click “Nvidia control panel”
Select “Manage 3D Settings” from the option in the left-hand panel
Select “Program Settings”
Select WoW under “Select a program to customize”. If it’s not is not available, select the “Add” button and manually locate the game exe
Select “Prefer maximum performance” graphics card under “Power management”.
If this doesn’t help, let’s get the system files to take a closer look:
Press Windows Key + R.
Type DxDiag and press Enter.
In the DxDiag window, click Save All Information.
Name the file “dxdiag” and click Save
Paste the DXdiag into the post, select and highlight everything you just pasted, and hit the “preformatted text” button (</>). That’ll make the information much more readable.
It should look like this.
If you have issues pasting here, please use Pastebin and post the link then highlight the link and press the ˂/˃ button.
