3D accelerator card is not supported

Today every time I try to get into SL, Classic, or Classic BC, it instead brings up a window with this message or saying I need to install one with TMU support. Even after updating the Graphics driver, I’m still greeted with this message.

I’m fried as I just put a 30$ Pre Paided Game Time card in and I don’t think it’s possible to refund it so I’ve wasted 30$ for time I can’t use.

Is this a ongoing issue that I’m just going to have to wait out as it seems this has happened in the past or am I going to have to eventually get tech expert on the case before my game time expires?

You’re going to need to post a DxDiag.

This can be due to a very outdated graphics driver. But the DxDiag will help answer that question.

Edit: Well found the problem sorta…but it’s weird. I need reminded how to post pictures and the DxDiag results but after having someone over to check out the computer we discovered with DxDiag that it seems while the computer identifies the Graphics Card it instead is using the Microsoft Driver instead of the Graphics Card driver.

We have tried Display Driver Uninstaller, Updating the Bios, running Comapatability mode, actually taking the Driver out and putting it back in with no luck.

Removing the driver completely and switching to Integrated Graphics finally allowed WoW to Launch. The guy is going to test the driver in other computers but this should keep me going for awhile.

Graphics Driver is/was a fully updated Nvida Geforce GTX 770, which is listed as still being supported by World of Warcraft

what driver are you using for the 770.

this is the latest driver if you’re using windows 10.

I don’t know if I can check without the card in the system now but looking at the link I can confirm would be the latest driver I was using as I installed it last night and the guy who worked on the computer today also made sure he installed the right update as well when he did the full uninstall and reinstall.

The GPU driver may not be compatible with the latest update to Windows, so it defaults to the Microsoft standard one.

Haven’t heard anything back yet but I alerted the guy as I don’t think that was something we considered.
