3D Accelerator Card is not supported

My PC is fairly new, I’ve been playing on near-max graphics settings for a while now, but a few minutes ago my PC randomly crashed and now it won’t let me log in anymore, it says:

Your 3D accelerator card is not supported by World of Warcraft. For more information please see https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/world-of-warcraft-system-requirements

I have a AMD RADEON RX 5600 XT 6GB GDDR6 graphics card, which is obviously more than good enough to play WoW. I just tried to update drivers but it says they are already up to date. Why won’t it let me log on?

Sounds like the PC crash corrupted some files.

I’d start by removing your WTF file first (I would just pull it out to the desktop and let it write a new one).

The nuclear option is to delete WoW and reinstall. I would save your addon folders though.

Just tried removing WTF, Cache, and Interface folders. Same error message

Edit: I think I found the problem, in Device Manager when I rightclick on my video card it had an option to Enable Device. For some reason it was not enabling even after many re-starts. I enabled the video card and now WoW is working fine again

IF your PC crashed and disabled a component that’s a telling sign that you should probably look into it with more scrutiny then going Re-enable and “Yep it’s all good again”

Good call, what should I look into though?

I made sure the video card drivers were updated, ran scans for malware, and that’s about all I could think of to check

Just make sure you updated your video card drivers by going to the manufacturer website and downloading them from there, not just updating then from whatever device manager recommends.

Something like that could point to Temperature being an issue, Or power supply, So using my personally prefered tool HWINFO you can view it’s temperature in real time while playing and see it, Can also use a simpler and easier tool GPU-Z for that.
