39 day wait time on ticket. started at 36, 3 days ago

I don’t understand how this can be possible lol. They must really have like 10 customer service agents. However many they do have, they must be so overworked. geeze…

I have been helped within 24h on all my tickets. Maybe they prioritize some subject high and other as low priority?

My subject: lost account (recovery), game time problem!

Dunno :man_shrugging: but it could be something like this!

The time you are seeing are the longest tickets which need specialist help, not a the time for YOUR specific ticket. Most are around 2 weeks right now, not a month.

That is not acceptable for a wait either though. Nobody, even Blizzard, thinks it is.

It is normally 24-48 hours. The CS folks cover all Blizzard games and services so with Wrath server merges, launch, multiple game ban waves, OW2 launch, the phone number requirement, returning players needing account access help, etc… they are swamped.

If you need verification that your ticket was properly entered you can feel free to ask on the CS forum. They are not GMs, but it does serve as an Information Desk to help folks navigate the system, explain policies, explain services, etc.

Hopefully your wait is not too long.

Yeap I’ve had replies in last couple days within 24hours…it the unhelpful replies that ask for more info that you gotta submit then wait further 24+ hours for a reply

Something you can always do is head to the CS forum and ask ahead of time for guidance.

  • State the issue and ask if it is something a GM can help with
  • Ask what ticket path you should use to get it properly categorized (this makes sure it does not take extra time and is prioritized correctly)
  • Ask what information should be in the ticket so you don’t have to add more later. Also keep in mind you can edit a ticket that is in queue if you need to. It does not change the place of the ticket.

Many many tickets are for things GMs don’t do like take bug reports, give game hints, generate loot/items, interfere in loot disputes, etc. Some are also for things there is a self help tool for. In times of high volume like this, they sometimes send an automated template with info covering that stuff so that people can try those first. Then if that does not help, they can re-open the ticket.

This article on what GMs can do, and more importantly can’t do, can help.

Again, wait times right now are NOT ok, but it can help a player to know how to best navigate the mess so a bad situation does not get worse for the player.

Whats the ticket for? I really want to hear the outcome of this ticket response.

either you make too many tickets or they looked at what this was and said frivolous.

No, everyone is seeing ticket lengths this long. When you initially submit it it gives you a normal timeframe. When you mouse over the ticket thing on the micro menu it will show the real amount of time, usually 35-40 days.

It doesn’t matter what it’s for or how many tickets you made.

This is quite the silly thing to assume. Jesus.

Those are the longest in queue, not your ticket, thankfully. There are some issues with char name changes and account mergers right now that have caused specialists to have to get involved. As long as that is not your issue, it should not be that long.

How did the longest jump from 36 days to 55 over night?

They likely moved a batch of related issue tickets into that part of the queue. Volume for specialist interaction would do that. It is not a count down number like people think. It is misleading and confusing.

Or the system is not reporting the longest right?

Could be either.

a TCG loot related ticket. It’s not time sensitive, and I don’t mind being at the back of the queue. 39 days just seemed silly regardless of my issue is all.

Thanks for the help here.

WoW + WoW Classic + OW2 + Tons of petty complaints and angry chuds that got suspended and muted clogging up things.

Oh, yeah, that is such a mess they disabled the in game NPC if I understand correctly. There was some sort of exploit going on. That one might take a while.

Char name change paid service and transfer is also an issue and so is account merge. Those are in the holding queues for either specialists or a Dev fix.

Most issues sit around 2 weeks. Again, not ok. It is slowly going down though.

And then DF is going to release so yeah. :dracthyr_shrug:

that moment when you realize probably 60% of the tickets across all the games are probably miniscule problems or not even problems at all. begging for free stuff, complaining to complain, trying to overturn a ban appeal after telling someone to die oh my.

I don’t envy them. It’s a shame that it takes so long but not much will ever be done about it.

It WILL go down again. It has to. It already is.

I blame mgt for not doing surge planning. They don’t outsource, and the training to cover all Blizz games and services is not small. Quite an investment in interviewing, hiring, training, and prof dev. Still, releases mean surges. Same with major account changes.

I can only hope they do a post-mortem and learn from it.

Keep us posted on the response

Update: ticket wait time is 48 days now :upside_down_face:

They must not have a tcg guy anymore
