I believe after seeing this figure all over the AH, this exact amount that’s its people buying gold, but I could be wrong, it’s just a really strange price to put an item up for, and they are all singles, and they are all different.
I know people put thing up ridiculously expensive to try and catch someone half asleep, but this seems too uniform.
The amount is different per server (on Maladath, it’s 18##) and is likely there to bait addons into saying something is a good deal OR is scum trying to yoink gold in misclicks.
Only has to happen once to be significantly profitable.
check a gold selling site and see what 1$ buys, last i knew it was somewhere around that value for most servers

3850 minus the AH cut is about 3658. Prices vary from server to server, but it’s mostly between .002 and .0025 per gold. I highly doubt that people are consistently buying 3850 gold. Players would probably be buying gold in increments of 1000.
