Again…the games had pathfinder for years. If you are playing this game now like its some new system they invented that completely undermines the status quo, I’m gonna bite the bullet and just categorize you as “entitled”
This isn’;t some random RNG reward. you don’t have to grind the reps for a CHANCE at flying.
You do the work. you get the reward.
I ask you, where else in life do you get that kind of assurance? Even if you got it in writing, theres still a chance you might not get what you earned for your effort in real life…
but here on azeroth, grind the rep, get the flying.
But you dont want to grind the rep. its boring. its hard. it takes too long.

They’re entitled to their opinion and the boards allow them to express their opinion. Isn’t it entitlement on your part to tell them they cannot exercise their rights as a subscriber and a human being?
It’s a game, stop trying to bring up principles of work into a game.

Maybe seeing as this a game and not a crummy job the stuff we do while logged in and paying to play shouldn’t be boring and take forever.
The idea behind pathfinder is fine, but you should be able to complete it when the expansion launches, not 2 years after the fact. Also, it shouldn’t be tied to rep in any way. The point of pathfinder is the devs want us to explore the world on foot and see everything there is to see before we take to the skies and skip all the stuff we have already seen.
You don’t need to grind rep to accomplish this. Make pathfinder require completion of all the quests in every zone, and maybe some treasure hunting as well.
I don’t think people would be nearly as mad if this is what the achievement entailed. It wouldn’t be timegated and we wouldn’t have to wait 2 years. You could grind it in 2 weeks or 2 months at your own pace, and none of it would be daily “chores”.

Patchfinder is bad game design.
Similar reason as to why most people don’t gear through PVP anymore because PVP has no vendors.
Making the opportunity costs so punitive to the point a lot of players seek different avenues.
PF participation has dropped off a cliff in BFA and it is a result of many reasons. Excessive time gate, rep grinding, poor terrain design that has to be navigated to grind out the rep via world quests, etc.

Funny, I see more people flying than people not flying these days. 
Even a few months ago I saw more people flying than not flying.
To get those numbers, even a few months back, they would probably have to include 120’s that are effectively inactive.
Also, the timbermaw rep grind was 10x more tedious than pathfinder was. 
Always hilarious to see people protesting something they don’t like doing, by saying they’d go do something significantly more tedious and time consuming.
The PF numbers now in BFA compared to Legion are pretty clear and they are not going to improve all that much even with the release of patch 8.3.
Patchfinder is a failure.

Between the two factions (Unshackled and Ankoan), Naz has a 43.6% completion rate, which actually puts it at 4th on the list, just above Zandalari.
Why fly when we have flight whistles and like 50 hearthstones and insta-port toys? Gives me time to afk for a minute or change my music.
Other than artificially padding playtime through fustrating travel mechanics…
Is there really any reason we cant have instant travel shrines we unlock?
Why have they not tried a flying fatigue system that won’t allow for cross,continent travel bit instead use flight for field mob to hub travel?
Why does it have to be a convoluted achievement locked behind wq rep grinds as the only option?
Blizzard has tried nothing and seems to be all out of ideas.

Words have meaning, it isnt entitlement dude.
All you are doing is complaining someone has a different view of things. Simply because you are satisfied does not mean the system could not be improved or changed.
Flught was max level based in the past, acquired through gold and was fine as it was back then.
Blizz changed it because they are lazy with game design.
You cant argue for the statua quo, and say others are wrong for wanting the previous one back.

They removed flying to give us a awesome world where we wouldn’t even miss it. I played through WoD. I did the stable quest chain from the Garrison and I think that was all there is to this awesome world. The fill-a-bar quests, what a joke. I tried a few and didn’t like them at all. I liked the Garrison and maybe that’s what they meant with awesome world. Most certainly I didn’t miss flying in there.
Instanced content, that is the new world. And they crete less world since Pathfinder and more instanced content. But Ion is a raider, so it’s normal that he thinks instances are the best ever and for that you don’t need flying.

That is fine if you agree with him but I do not. Flying is a tool which can be used to expand the world. They are just too lazy to utilize it properly.

Can you put in to detail how you are getting these numbers?
I went there and I guess I can’t figure out how to see the stats, are you separating the server zones?
Like no EU in your stats, just Americas, etc. For example.
Warfronts and island expeditions.
Is this the height of world design in WoW by focusing on instances that have no 'danger"?

I haven’t played BfA but I realize that since WoD there has been an instance focus. Warfronts and Islands are as much instances as all dungeon levels and raids.
Make the world as tedious as possible and eventually most players wont care about it. I don’t think this is about time metrics or subs. This is about less work for the devs. And as long as there is no exodus of players the company doesn’t care. After all players are just cyclical.

Yeah it’s been a pretty rough expansion for sure. This definitely one of blizzards worst ones right down there with warlords lol
